Is there software for dyslexic adults?

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any software for dyslexic adults? I am a grad student with dyslexia and have a lot of trouble with reading. All the software I have come across is geared towards children and I'd like something made specifically for adults.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance!!

Hi have dyslexia too, and have a little experience with Texthelp Read & Write Gold program, and waiting for a program to be installed on to my computer, this program will convert Speech to text, and Spell Check, Homophones, Word Prediction, Web Highlighting, Daisy Reader, Dictionary, Word Wizard, Scanning, Screenshot Reader, Study Skills Toolbar, Calculator, Speech Maker, Pronunciation Tutor, Research Tools.

I have had a fair bit of trouble reading over the last few months, and being able to scan in books and notes I had to read, on to my computer or a disk, then highlight the area I want read, and the program will read it to me.

My daughter who is also dyslexic likes Dragon Naturally speaking, when she used it there was a few problems with the voice to text, but I believe this has been fixed with the new version. I think they have similar things as the Texthelp.

I know that with both you can purchase a PC or Mac version. Unfortunately they do cost a bit, will be invaluable while studying, as well as when as work and home. So I can't wait for mine to come.

Just make sure that you have the system requirements to install the program, before purchasing.

What is the best software or DVD piano lesson course for adult beginners I can get?

I am looking for the best software or DVD piano lesson course for adult beginners I can get. I have looked into the paperback book piano lessons by both Hal Leonard and Alfred's, but I am more of a person who needs to be shown how to do it, rather than read how to do it. If I am shown how to do it - I catch on A LOT easier and faster.

I bought learn and master piano a few months ago. It’s a DVD course and as a beginner I find it real easy to use. You can find out more about it here:

It is difficult for an educational program to compete with the likes of Mario. That said, my 12 years, loves the program and has been the use without complaint. This means a bit more! He likes the TV series SpongeBob SquarePants, but I was a little concerned that this program would be too “young” for him. For the price if I thought give it a try and send it to the young niece if it has not worked for us. It is an unnecessary alarm, because it immediately. It is quite difficult for preteens and is basically the same “style” write programs for adults. In fact, I think if I could not write, I use it – I saw a lot of it, and I think if you love comics, the age of n ‘is not important. The games are fun, but to strengthen, to break with the exercises. Sponge Bob is more encouraging that the program I used years! Your feedback is very positive drôle.Accueil school may be interested in knowing that at each level of achievement, a certificate is available for printing. I have the stick in my files – which is an interesting option. I had to make sure my son has to watch his hands on the bottom of the screen, and show how to use the blows that protrudes from the F & J & cl # xE9; to maintain good position & # xf3 n to help minimize children look down – and then flew!
