and will it be in my best interest to go straight into a 4 year university or take those classes with d's in junior college or do the 2 year junior college then transfer over okay heres what my transcript looks like itll get iffy as i go along i got put in a class to pick up my credits with f's 10th grade second semester and 11th grade second semester i went to a continuation school and just graduated last week as a senior but a semester ahead of time (i shouldve graduated in june 2010)

credits completed 42 grand total 236 maybe more im on track to graduate high school but im told a-g is different than high school requirements so whats easier for me go to junior college take the ones i missed and try and pick up the d's or go to junior college for 2 years then transfer any help is greatly appreciated

I don't think you can get into a 4 year public college in California coming from a continuation high school, Sorry, that's just how it is. In case you haven't heard, colleges in California have had their funding cut dramatically, so they are cutting enrollment and are being VERY selective about who they let in. For instance, I heard that for the most popular majors at San Jose State, they are only accepting the most qualified applicants from Santa Clara County. At any rate, you need graded classes to fulfill the A-G requirements, and they all have to be a C or better. There are also minimum GPA requirements, and right now you need to far exceed the minimum to have a chance to get in.

Even community colleges in California aren't looking too good right now. They are cutting classes too, so it could take you much longer than 2 years to get an AA degree. And, many 4 years are not accepting any transfers! The situation could change in the next couple of years, or it could get worse.

My advice - do you have any relatives who live in another state? If so, look into possibly living with them and attending a local community college there, with the plan to get residency and transfer in that state. Higher education in California is really that bad right now.
