Is The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood worth reading?

I recently finished The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and I loved it. I think that Atwood is like a poet in prose. I am now reading The Blind Assassin by her and its very confusing. I'm not quite sure how its going to turn out. I wanted to know what you thought about the whole book. And please don't give away what happens as I still want to find out for myself.

Yes it is award winning story about sisters with a great twist ending. The story revolves around how the younger sister wrote a bestselling novel and died a young death and how the legend of the younger sister affected the other characters. But things aren't always what they seem. Great book.

Will I go blind... ( READ DETAILS)?

I used water instead of Solution for one night?
I have Solution now but i used water for one night will i go blind?.
Whats a gambler?
My eyes never burned when i but them in
I put water in them last night and than this mornign i put them in everything was the same as any other morning.

I would venture to guess that you'll be ok. We tell patients not to use water with their contacts because the bacteria and yucky stuff in the water is put into your eyes when you insert your contacts. Also, water doesn't have any cleaning or disinfecting capabilities like your multipurpose solution does.

If you develop a problem, you may have a sore/painful eye, redness, sensitivity to sunlight, and/or blurry vision.

Is the bible acknowledged to be fiction among christians, but it is advised to be read with blind faith for ?

spiritual improvement?

If we understand that christians know its not really the truth, some of us would possibly respect more their quest for spiritual betterment

Does this explain why christians call the interrogation immature and insulting?
It was a hypothesis.. im just wondering why christians get so sensitive when people question the bible
athansiaus: you proved my point... why is every question against your belief, childish?
jerry aka mr serious: the world is way too serious

Its part fact and part fiction. How can it not be when the Bible is written over hundred of years.

Is being a "Doubting Thomas" so bad?

John 20:24-29
Excerpt, "But he said to them "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe"

Later Jesus showed himself to Thomas and said, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

Here is my question: Why do modern day Christians berate someone for not having "faith" (read: blind faith) in Jesus. Thomas did not believe because he did not have evidence, but once he saw evidence, he believed. I feel that everyone ought to have this chance. I will believe the truth, whatever it may be, but I ask to see the evidence. Do Christians honestly believe that God will damn me to hell if I do not believe without proof? As it is, both Muslims and Christians have offered me the same "proof" (exact same arguments for both religions). If God offered proof to Thomas, why can't he offer it to me?
Please continue to discuss this topic. Quick note, I did not leave out the ending of the verse (note that I put the reference to the entire scripture so that everyone could read it at the very beginning of the page). Yahoo Answers limits the amount of characters I can put into a question, I placed the EXCERPT that was most relevant to my question. You are free to quote verse 29, but please do not assert that I left it out, intentially or otherwise.

Right ON! I'm with ya 100%, down with in and hep to your groove!

An item that reads boks to blind people?

My Grandmother is blind, but greatly enjoys reading. I heard of this item which I don't know the name of (not an audio C.D) which reads to people, but I can't remember the name. Her birthday is in two weeks and I would really like to get this for her =)
Can these items also read in a diffrent language because, unfortunately she can't understand English. She can only understand Russian and I would greatly appreciate any help given.

  • 35 Web Design Mistakes You Should Avoid | LuckyFish Media

    1. Presuming the phase “If you build it, they will come” – Even if you achieve the perfect website you still have to take steps to market that site. It becomes increasingly more necessary that you take the time to put the word out about your website online and offline. If you do not take the time to brag about your site, no one will.

    2. Do not blend advertisements into content – It may increase your click through rate in the short term, but when a user thinks they are clicking on an internal link and then finds out you just tricked them – most will not be coming back.

    3. Avoid splash pages (intro) to your website – These luckily are a dying fad, but at one time these were what a lot of websites prompted visitors with when they first gained access their website instead of the content they were attempting to reach.
