Reading Blind

If you read in the dark everyday...is it possible you would become blind?
Can you come even close to blind? Like, it would even be difficult to see anything in the light (rather than in the dark)?

nope it may hurt (cause difficulty)your eyes but it will never cause any damage (I read it somewhere but I forgot where) ;)

I heard that reading increases people senses and reaction, but since blind people read by touching bumps does this also enhances their senses in any way?

yes, they can picture things out by touching things much better than normal people

I recently finished The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and I loved it. I think that Atwood is like a poet in prose. I am now reading The Blind Assassin by her and its very confusing. I'm not quite sure how its going to turn out. I wanted to know what you thought about the whole book. And please don't give away what happens as I still want to find out for myself.

Yes it is award winning story about sisters with a great twist ending. The story revolves around how the younger sister wrote a bestselling novel and died a young death and how the legend of the younger sister affected the other characters. But things aren't always what they seem. Great book.

I am planning to open a call centre with blind people as employees. Ill also be visiting NGOs to raise funds for this project. If anyone wants to help, they are free to contribute, money, time or skills, whatever they have.

Braille documents can be produced under contract by many agencies, including the American Printing House for the Blind http://www.aph.org. Many blind call center employees also use electronic documentation with speech or braille output software.
