I work at a computer repair store and we use the MRI program, and my boss says that it is ok. But I read all the warnings that say that it is not okay to use it unless you are Geek Squad. Is there any way that he could have a legal way of using it? This is pretty much what we charge customers and I feel it is wrong since it is a business based around software that we aren't supposed to use. And how can I turn them in? But my dilemma is, I need this job... but I don't know what to do.....
Your instincts are correct on this one - the MRI tool is protected by copyright and property of Geek Squad (which is owned by Best Buy). My recommendation would be to send an anonymous email to Best Buy with the name of the company and city/state you're in.
I work in Public Relations for Best Buy and would be happy to send the information on without including any of your personal information. Please feel free to shoot me a note and I'll provide you my contact information.
