Low Vision Supplies

Hi... I had a quick question, which I am fairly worried about.

I am a 20 year old male, 5'10, 160 lbs.

I recently took my blood pressure (at the doctor's office, in a store with one of those sit-down things near the pharmacy, and at a gym). Each of the separate readings were all in generally the same area... Anywhere from around 50/100 to 53/104.

If I am sitting down (more often it is when I am laying down) for a while, and then get up to go do something, I get an INTENSE headrush, I get very light-headed, and my vision blurs somewhat. I need to generally stand there for a 5 or 10 seconds to collect myself.

My Questions: Is this unhealthy? Am I at risk for anything? Could this have an adverse affect on how oxygen is supplied to my muscles during exercise? Is there any way to counteract this (if I should indeed counteract it) and what would the benefits of it be?

Additional Info: I am a collegiate soccer player, so I am able to partake in physical activites, but I am just curious as to whether I would benefit more from having a higher blood pressure somehow.

no... it is happening if i am sitting at home. not doing anything.

If it's happening in the gym then you're ok. You will get head rushes from sudden movement after a workout.

there was still one day left in his bidding and i was the second one to bid and he accepted it and sent me the transaction...

he said only paypal money transfers only. i think paypal gives buyers security but i dont live in US and u think i can claim my money back if it was a scammer. this system should atleast cost 2000 $ but he is selling for 510 $ including international shipping..

guys do u think i should go for it?

There are all sorts of issues here.

For one thing, why is he so hot to unload such a premo-system for so little cash. Under $600 for an i7 system? That’s barely more than you’d need to get an underpowered Dell from Best Buy – that should set off all sorts of warning flags.

Next problem – “money transfer”? What’s that? Better be sure it really is Paypal and not something like Western Union that he’s trying to pass off as PP.

Lastly, Alienware? Have you checked out their product support? I remember their pre-Dell days. I don’t know if they are more trustworthy now, but the thing is that their client base is still the same: drop a huge wad of cash for the highest-powered components, and but not necessarily the reliable of components. Overclock it right out of the box, and if it fries next month, AW will just replace it, right?

I have just received a Dell XPS 8100 system from Dell. It has an intel i7 860 (2.8GHz Quad) 8GB 1067MHz DDR3 RAM, 2TB serial Raid 0 "stripe" hard drive, Blu-ray ROM, 1GB Nvidia GeForce GTS 240 & a 350W power supply. There are two things that I require from the PC, run Crysis in full HD in high detail & play left 4 dead with Nvidia 3D vision which makes the graphics card work twice as hard. I was hoping to purchase a GTS 285 card but I don't know whether this will fit or will run using such a low power supply. Is there any way I could upgrade the power supply. Apparently Dell have designed the case so that only there PSU's will fit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Newer Dell models like the XPS 8100 use standard ATX power supplies. Older models like the Dimension 4700 and Dimension 8100 used proprietary-mount power supplies that were more expensive to replace.

High-end cards like the GTX 285 cannot run on a measly 350W power supply. Even midrange cards like the GTS 250 and Radeon 4850 require 450W. The GTX 285 requires at least 575W with 42A on the +12V rails, and two PCI-E power connectors.

I'm not sure about the physical dimensions of the card being a potential issue, I'd measure the space inside your case.
