What I mean is following.... I wonder what kind of systems the military uses to cool down equipment, soldiers, medicine, plasma, etc.... and what are the challanges they face.... at google I found some, but I'm interested in knowing their real needs of cooling (navy, army, air force, gendarmerie, police, etc...) and challenges they face today. Is passive cooling enought or do they need active cooling... I'm asking about the military use because they normally look ahead and have harder or bigger challenges (environmental conditions, etc....) and later it will be used by civils.
What cooling technologies are used today by the military ? For example, in the communication sector (radars, radio transmitters, etc... they use thermelectric tecnology), in the electronic cooling sector they use vapous compression, in the night vision equipments they use stirling cycle to achieve ultra low cryogenic temperatures.... etc.... I'm lookinkg for answer that cover lots of application fields :)
Many of the applications are the same as the ones that exist in corresponding civilian applications except maybe cooling of weapon systems.

"Reagan's response to the 1981-1982 recession, the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, was to declare ketchup a vegetable, release federal cheese surpluses, and shackle the strike leaders of the air traffic control union hand and foot and lead them off to jail. My most pronounced memories of the Reagan years are the three hour cheese line and the German care packages to unemployed workers in Detroit. In the first two years of the Reagan administration, his policy was a forced economic recession and de- industrialization of the United Stated. He cut federal low income housing funds by 84%; his tax cuts for the rich, his trickle-on the poor and working class economics ended up tripling all previously existing U.S. government debt. So, when I think of the Reagan legacy, I think of urban decay, crack, homelessness, racism, rampant corporatism and the destruction of the American dream. Amidst the growing homelessness and despair, I remember seeing graffiti all over inner-city Detroit that simply said: Ronald Wilson Reagan 666. Reagans policies so marked him as the beast in Detroit, blue-collar workers actually cheered when he was shot. The hottest song on underground radio was Hinckley had a Vision. The songs refrain, He knew, he knew. When the mainstream media was analyzing Reagan's legacy and actively participating in the mythologizing of the 40th president, they conveniently ignored volumes of work by mainstream reporters. Wall Street Journal reporter Jane Mayer and Los Angeles Times reporter Doyle McManus documented Reagan's diminishing mental capacity"

This is exactly how I remember old Ronnie, and his addled Alshiemers mind. Distributing crack to all the Union workers that he forced out of jobs.
The most corrupt criminal administration of any President in American History.

I had lasik surgery about 3 years ago because my vision got so bad they could no longer correct it with lenses. They were going to take my driver's license away. I'm okay with having done it, at least it's not 1970 and I'd be sitting at home drawing disability with a seeing eye dog. Anyway, it wasn't "perfect." My right eye is still at -.75, but my left eye is perfect. It was bothering me (like listening to a fuzzy radio station), so my optometrist gave me some glasses for "night time driving." Yeah, well, forget that. I've worn glasses since I was a little kid. I put them on in the morning when I get up, and I take them off at night when I go to bed like I've done my whole life.
Anyway, one of my friends told me the other day that they think it's weird I wear my glasses all the time when I don't need to. Then, my husband admitted he thought it was weird to (he also has to wear glasses). Is it really that weird? I mean, why not have perfect vision all the time? Why just for night driving? I have a friend who has a really low prescription, and because she is always taking them on and off, she can never find them. Doesn't it make sense to just leave them on you face?
My eyesight hasn't changed since the surgery, so I'm not afraid anything is going to get "lazy." And, I'm not about to stop doing what I always do just because people think it's weird. I'm a simple girl. I like jeans, I own one purse, I don't wear make-up, and I'm not going to be taking on and off my glasses. They didn't bother me before, I was forced to get lasik. I just didn't think it was weird at all to wear my glasses all the time. My right eye is a little blurry. Yes, it's only "dangerous" at night when driving. But, I don't want to have someone read me a menu. That's silly.
You sound like a logical, independent, intellegent, American Woman. Who care what they think?!? "So....guys....yeah...what else do you want to talk about?....my weirdness or your issue with my glasses?....as I have NO issue with them......" There is nothing wrong with wearing them when you want to. Period. Your choice and their opinion was not asked.

This is the beginning to a screenplay/script. Can you please look it over and comment, maybe tell me what I might need to change.
For those of you that have trouble reading these, INT means interior, EXT. means exterior, (outside) and POV means point of view. it means that you are looking from someone's eyes.
The only POV's in this are from Cassidy and the security camera.
Thanks!
FLICKER IN FROM BLACK
INT. DARK STORAGE ROOM
BLACK AND WHITE VISION FROM SECURITY CAMERA
ANTHONY is sitting tied to a chair, dazed, but conscious. We see the light shine in the room caused by the opening of a door. The shadow of a person entering is shown. Door closes and light fades.
Now, from normal view, color, camera pans up from walking feet to a screwdriver held in CASSIDY’S right hand. Unable to tell gender. Cassidy is wearing all black and baggy clothes. Camera follows her hand until she grabs a step stool and picks it up.
Back to security camera view. Still unable to tell her identity, Cassidy sets the stool down in front of the camera and steps up. Starts to unscrew it. The camera falls to the ground. Through the stool’s legs, we see a sideways view of Anthony. Cassidy’s legs are seen walking towards him. Once she stops in front of him, we cannot see her.
POV from Cassidy. Anthony is looking at her. She puts a handkerchief over her mouth to muffler her voice.
ANOTHONY
You can do whatever you want, I won’ tell you.
We see Cassidy’s hand slap him. Cassidy speaks very low and rough.
CASSIDY
Tell me.
ANTHONY
Never
Cassidy kicks him in the crotch. He whimpers.
CASSIDY
I’m going to do worse.
ANTHONY
Nothing that will make me tell you.
Cassidy punches him and he spits out blood.
CASSIDY
We have more set up. Tell me where it is.
ANTHONY
Make me.
Still at her POV, Cassidy walks over to a corner and picks up a pitchfork. She takes it back to him. She takes the handle side and hits him hard over the head. He whimpers again.
ANTHONY
Is that all you got?
She takes the tool end and sticks it straight through his right foot. He screams out in pain.
CASSIDY
No. Now tell me.
ANTHONY
I’ll tell you what you need to know. You need to know that I’m not the one that should be here; you are you dirty pig.
From the camera again, we see Cassidy’s arms hold the pitchfork as she pulls out a lighter and slowly puts the fire on the pitchfork.
Back to her POV, we see her put the metal against his cheek as we hear a hiss. She takes it away and there are burn marks. He screams. Tears fall down his eyes.
ANOTHONY
If you kill me now, you won’t hear anything.
CASSIDY
And if I don’t, I won’t hear anything either, so tell me where she hid it.
ANTHONY
NO!
She punches him in the face and pulls out a radio. Speaks into it.
Now we see the full figure of Cassidy. A woman, wearing all black baggy clothes. Her hair is tied back and she has an angry look.
CASSIDY
Bring her in.
Back to the POV of the security camera, we see the door light again open as the camera’s zoom goes in and out, focusing. We now wee the full room, still sideways. There is a man holding a half conscious woman. He is also wearing black. The woman is wearing a dirty, heavy jacket. He pushes her down and leaves the room, closing the door behind him. The room goes dim again.
Now to normal view, we see Cassidy run over to the woman and pick her up by the throat and slam her against the wall. The woman sees ANOTHONY and calls out to him.
WOMAN
Anthony!
CASSIDY
Shut up!
Cassidy slaps her and pulls a gun out to her.
ANTHONY
Mom! No!
Cassidy looks to Anthony.
CASSIDY
Tell me now or she’s dead!
ANTHONY (IN TEARS)
Don’t kill her!
CASSIDY
Then tell me!
ANTHONY
NO!
Cassidy points the gun toward Anthony and shoots. She hits his leg. He cries out in pain and she points the gun back toward the woman.
WOMAN
NO!
CASSIDY
Shut up!
Through gritted teeth, between anger, fear, and pain, Anthony yells at her.
ANTHONY
Leave her alone!
CASSIDY
I’ll let her go when you tell me.
ANTHONY
And I’ll tell you when I’m dancing on your grave!
CASSIDY
Why you!
She shoots the woman and she falls down screaming. She dies.
ANTHONY
Mom!
Cassidy runs back over to Anthony and puts the gun to his neck.
CASSIDY
We have your sister waiting outside and if you don’t tell me where she kept it, she’ll be dead, too.
ANTHONY
Kill me.
CASSIDY
I can’t have you dead, not just yet.
ANTHONY
Well too bad for you.
He kicks his feet up and hits her. She falls back and accidentally fires the gun, hitting him in the chest. She falls to the ground and Anthony speaks in his last dying breaths.
ANTHONY
You’re just going to have to figure out on your own.
He dies.
Cassidy gets up quickly. Goes to see if he really is dead. He is. She throws the gun off camera and yanks off the handkerchief.
EXT. HIGH VIEW OF SHACK.

hey great job!!! id like to read the rest someday.......only cassidy seems very strong for a woman Cassidy run over to the woman and pick her up by the throat.this is not easy even for most men.try it with a friend not the throat though. i can lift a bare v8 engine block, its heavy.but a person half that weight is near impossible for me lol......good luck. btw is this a barn.pitchforks arent just laying around everywhere
Commander Deen ducked behind the crumbled brick wall as gunfire hailed around him. The marine next to him loaded a new clip into his rifle and yanked on the bolt. A massive tank with two huge cannon barrels on its rotating cabin. rolled next to Deen and fired a double blast at the source of the gunfire. A rocket whizzed overhead narrowly missing the tank and exploding at the base of the building in front of Deen. Deen cocked his M17 rifle and fired a burst over the wall. He pressed his head radio to his ear. “Command! Come in!” He yelled.
“This is Sky eye command, what’s the situation, Commander Deen?” A calm, almost computerized voice responded.
“We are in serious trouble! Being overwhelmed! Need reinforcements ASAP!”
“Commander Deen, all forces are currently pinned or unable to assist. We have R.A.I.N. Squad Omega inbound to provide support. E.T.A. 10 minutes. You must hold your current position until then.”
The tank near Deen exploded in a massive explosion, causing his ears to ring, and blur his vision. “R.A.I.N. squad? Alright, bring the R.A.I.N.! We need that backup, now!” He popped above the wall and fired another burst. He hit an enemy soldier as he ran between cover and the man fell, but Deen ducked behind the wall as a sniper round hit the wall. “Everyone hold out!” he yelled to all his solders. “We got a R.A.I.N. squad coming In! Watch the skies!”
. . .
Captain Jack Archer walked into the cargo hold of the osprey v7. His R.A.I.N. cyberarmor clinked lightly as he walked. His squad sat in the chairs along the walls of the craft. He slapped a slumped head as he walked. “Get up, Butch.” he said. The man jumped and grumbled. He looked around and stood up. “We drop in fifteen, guys. Mount up.” he walked to the wall that was lined with several stations, each stocked with weapons. Each of the solders, all clad in the advanced R.A.I.N. armor, comprised a several black armor plates covering their chest, shoulders, arms legs and vital areas. The plates were strong but light, causing no movement limitations. They walked to their own spots on the wall. Jack grabbed the complex assault rifle that hung in his spot. The spot next to him was vacant and he turned to see another solder with blond hair, his head bowed, a large sniper rifle strapped to his back, and a M17 rifle with a sleek scope and a long barrel in his lap. “William, are you already set?” Jack asked with a chuckle.
The man looked up. “Yeah you know me. Always ready. I just want my rifle close.” His voice was low and somber.
“ yeah I hear ya.” Simon said, down the line. A large jagged scar marked his face near his left eye and stretched all the way to his collarbone. He pumped a massive shotgun with a silver clip feeding from the bottom,” I love Julie here.” He patted the shotgun affenectontly and slipped it onto his back.
“Do you know how creepy it is that you named that gun? And that you named it after mom?” Ryan, who was next to him, looked at him with a perplexed face. Smaller than his massive brother, Ryan simply retrieved his rifle, then he grabbed a large metallic backpack with a red cross on it. He opened the case and examined the contents. “Guess I’ll just fix you up after you get hit.”
“Yeah right, Butch is the one who always gets hit.” Simon jeered, loading grenades on his belt, and retrieving his own metal pack.
Butch looked up from his cubicle. “He’s right ya know.” he said in his booming voice. “I mean, hell, I have the record for the most bullets ever taken. Well, taken and survived. “ he chuckled and the massive man picked up a large minigun. The multiple barrels shown as he raised the large frame and connected a massive drum magazine on the side. He spun the barrels around and laughed a little.
“Please be careful with that thing.” Dill said from the far end of the line. The tech-officer flexed his arm and examined the small electronic device on the arm of his armor. “You scare me with that monster. “
”O.K. Who scares you more? Me or Butch?” James Hailfeild, with his mad red hair leaned out and looked at Dill with a mad smile, holding a block C4.
“You.” Dill said without a moments hesitation. “And you be really careful with that.” Dill grabbed his rifle, covered in various electronic devices and tools.
“Cut the crap guys, we need to drop soon.” jack said. “Get your gear and get over here.” Archer walked past the rest of them to a large round base. His black metallic pack had a small sniper rifle attached to it, and the hilt of a blade over his right shoulder. His custom rifle hung on his chest, with a small sleek optical scope, a inferred laser sight, and a front grip. The barrel was longer then the standard, but shorter than Williams’s.
The team grabbed the last of their equipment and walked along behind him. They took their positions around a large dome shaped object in the center of the room. As they formed around it, Jack tapped the center of it. His cybernetic implants glowed light
I liked it. You've got a lot going on there for an introduction, but I'm guessing it's one of those "pull 'em in" with a lot of action, then get to the main plot points after showing what these characters are made of. So far, I think you're doing well. You'll need more proofing and spell checking to make sure the words come out as the ones you mean. If you have a decent story to back that up it could make a fine book or short story.
Good luck with it.

Acta's vision: Tribe manager thinking positive « WEOL Radio 930 AM
Like Acta’s old team — the Nationals — few are picking the Indians to accomplish much in 2010. Yet Acta believes there’s a chance things will be different in his new surroundings, so much so, that he chose Cleveland over Houston, an organization that he spent nearly 20 seasons with as a minor-league player, coach and manager.
“This is a team that is just two years away from being a game away from going to the World Series,” said Acta, whose Indians open the regular season today (2:05 p.m.) in Chicago against the White Sox. “Coming into last year, this team was one of the favorites.
“I think if the right things happen here, we get our pitching in order, we get better in our defense, we’re right back in it. I’m telling you, exciting things are going to happen in Cleveland.”
