How do I ask about low vision products?

Due to age, I just cannot read those tiny displays, anylonger. I refer to the displays on calculators, cell-phones, etc. If I wanted to find/buy a cell-phone, with "Talking Caller I.D.", so that the phone would tell me who was calling, how do I ask about such a device? Any suggestions?

www.independentliving.com/departments.asp?dept=197
This site has cell phone magnifiers at a reasonable price. I purchase a "talking phone" through my phone company several years ago. It was a bit expensive then but the price may be lower on these now (my husband got mine in a divorce settlement) and Radio Shack may have them. Call your phone company (both cell and home) and ask them.
I know how you feel. I need glasses and I am to proud to admit my EYES are aging!

I'm looking for a starter motorcycle, what do you think about the Tank line of motorcycles?

I've posted a question about Tanks already, just asking about they're quality. I got lots of answers, but they all sounded like answers from people who assumed that I have been riding for awhile. Their answers were to stay away from it because it has low power and they are hard to find replacement parts for.

I am a beginner rider looking for a cheap, low power bike. The dealer in town where I'd be buying it from sells Tank motorcycles and scooters and does all the repair work for cheap.

Okay, now based off the information that I'd have a place for cheap repair work if needed and I am a beginner rider...would a Tank Vision 250E be a good motorcycle for me to have for about a year or so?

http://www.tank-sports.com/products/visi on/250e.html

This is the site for the bike I'm looking at.

Thanks all!

if you've got a dealer close & the price is right take advantage of it. all these anti chinese arguments are exactly the same ones used against jap bikes a few years ago. p s nice looking ride.

Vision/ Scope?

Vision/ Scope
E-Commerce is a panacea to expand a business beyond the boundaries. Huge revenue can be generated by providing services or products in international market. Many successful businessmen used E-Commerce strategies to expand business activities to get maximum share in international market. There are many examples of successful businesses in Pakistan like US Apparel, Guard Rice etc. who expanded their business gradually and now they are pioneers in their business. If one student becomes able to implement such type of activity, he will create many opportunities for other graduates. Because when one graduate gets a job, he becomes able to afford at most one family only and on the other hand, if one graduate starts business successfully, he becomes source of earning for many families. Students would be asked to give an idea of products or services in which they are agreed to get excel in future. Further, the students can be asked to analyze a current system (company or an organization) to identify its problems and providing them the e-business \ e-commerce solutions to participate the globalization
After the successful completion of the course, the students should be able to implement e-commerce strategy in both ways like:
1.Implementation of new business idea with comprehensive international market analysis with respect to culture, language, trust building, economic position, demand of any product or service (remember: 70% new ideas fail due to lack of market analysis)
2.Expansion of old or existing business by E-Commerce to get benefits of globalization and international market share to generate huge revenue from business.

Remember:

Competing the international market is not a child’s play; it requires a comprehensive market analysis, compliance with the international standards and any business man can get benefit from fulfilling any unmet need of the inhabitants of any country. This is possible via E-Commerce. Further, it should be taken into consideration what we can produce in Pakistan easily with low cost. We can enlist the products like leather, cotton, furniture, rice, wheat, soft ware, towels, socks, vegetables, fruit, shoes, books, paper, gifts, flowers, toys, jeans, dresses, shawls, man power etc. Also, we should keep in mind what we should import from abroad like machinery, vehicles, electronics etc.

Hi
What's ur point?
What r u trying to ask?

anybody have/played pearl vision vx. also lower sounds better 4 metal/rock?

im gettin a pearl vision vx around christmas and i want some reviews of it. ive been playin drums for a few years so i no sum stuff bout drums. and also, theres a fusion version of this kit with slightly smaller toms. but the larger, deeper sounds would be better for rcok and metal music right?

http://drums-percussion.musiciansfriend. com/product/Pearl-VX-Vision-Plain-Wrap-S tandard-Drum-Set?sku=490856

My brother has a Pearl Vision VX and sounds great with it and loves it, I screw around on it sometimes (though I don't consider myself a drummer, I can play a bit) and it sounds great for the hard rock original and classic rock covers we play. I reccomend the kit, though you might have to add a few pieces to get what you want. The Fusion version isn't worth it, stick with the reg. version.

In Canada, why can't low income people share shares of stock?

In the US you can't do this either I don't think.

But what if the Govt of Canada could fascilitate an easy channel for any Canadian to invest in Bay Street stocks for less than 1 Loonie per person?

And you can have multiple channels for the poorest person to invest in things normally requiring wealthy investments.

for example, poor people could pool income to buy wholesale products in bulk and then receive produce for much less than Retail prices.

Poor people in Canada could also perhaps share one house broken into tiny rooms for the fraction of the price.

The idea is we need services By the poor, of the poor, for the poor, whereby the poor own and create and are not at the mercy of retailers, corporations, and the need to work for a rich man if they choose to live an alternative lifestyle.

And also there should be a culture trend towards legalizing riding in freight cars for free. Biking on roads, Dumpster diving, sleeping in vehicles, all to aid the poor in chopping off mundane costs to achieve their long-term goals.

Can't this be done? isn't this the vision that sparked the Bohemia you have before rich people by up land and gentrify an area? The greatest art movements were grassrooted from inspired poor low income people in large numbers. This is where most creativity originates before the rights are bought up to the highest bidder, right?

Why can't the govt of Canada fascilitate services for poor, by poor, of poor, without reliance on the wealthy, not to excuse the wealthy by ANY means, but to give the poor people a stronghold that is theirs to keep!

In Canada
NOTE: I think the whole idea of poor pooling resources into one stream of wealth would receive support both from Stephen Harper AND the Liberals and NDPers.

NDPers would wonder why rich can't be taxed into this, but my answer to that is when rich pay into it, they dmeand an interest out of it, or they control it under the pretense they were taxed. I say THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING THE POOR OWN IN COMMON, that they have unrestricted access to operate

Actually, I think you can. The Government of Canada has special mutual funds known as RRSPs (Registered Retirement Savings Plans, like a 401K), and also introduced the Tax-Free Savings Account GICs (guaranteed investment certificate).

With minimal investment ($500 initial deposit), you can open an RRSP and donate to it as much or as little as you can afford. Some people have automatic deductions to take $20 or more off each paycheck and put it into the RRSP. All money put in there is not taxed until you try to take it out, which is usually done when you retire and don't have as high an income. Owning a share in a mutual fund means you could own as little as 1/1000th of a stock or savings bond.

And the TFSA are even better. You only need $25 to start one. You can take the money out at any time. And the interest you make on that money is not considered income and so is not taxed. And once you have $500 in the account, you flip that to a TFSA GIC or RRSP to get an even better interest rate, still without having to pay tax on the interest earned.

One of the main problems is not that the resources are not there, it's that many people either simply live paycheck to paycheck and are unable to put that loonie away that you mentioned, or are unwilling to put away an extra $5 a week for their future.

I have been doing investing in an RSSP since the age of 19, starting with a few dollars from each paycheck and now up to a few hundred per pay period. I don't even notice the money missing because it is taken off at source and so I live within my means with what is left.

I am lucky to have a steady decent-paying job, but the truth is almost anyone can do it if they simply do without for some other item. Buy the Walmart shoes that are on sale for $19 instead of the $100 Nike's. Give yourself a permanent instead of going to the hair dresser. Bring a coffee from home in a thermos instead of going for Starbucks or Tim Hortons. Drink water instead of a can of Coke with your lunch. All of these save money (as long as you set that money aside for savings).

  • Products We Love: EyeClops Night Vision Goggles « MindTribe Blog

This toy was an instant sensation in the MindTribe office. These goggles, made by JakksPacific, use a camera sensitive to infrared light coupled with IR LEDs to give the user surprisingly good night vision.

We tore through the packaging and got testing right away. The bathrooms are the only rooms here at the MindTribe office without windows or skylights and can be made pitch-“can’t tell if your eyes are open or closed”-black as a result*. Turning on the night vision goggles in this dark space is like turning on a headlamp—that is, when you’re looking through the small LCD in front of your right eye. The view through this display is clear and bright enough for you to get a good sense of what’s around you, although depth perception is a different story and running is a definite . A quick look in the mirror shows that the LEDs mounted to the front of the device are putting out a good amount of IR light (there’s even a “high beam” mode where a second bank of LEDs are lit).
