what kind of phone is best for someone with low vision?

My friend has very low vision, legally blind. She uses a magnifying glass now to look at her tiny phone, it is less than stellar for her for sure. wondering what kind of phones offer good technology , like a bit larger keypad and bigger screen with options to have bigger font. I know there's a blackberry one, but the data plan is pretty pricey.
Any help would be great thanks. Serious answers please.

My siblings & I felt that our parents should carry a cell phone (They were evacuated during a huge fire, & we didn't know whether they'd gotten out!) So, I did some searching, as Dad's eyes aren't what they used to be! This first one is what I recommended:

They only will use it for dire emergencies, but, they do go out & about still by themselves---So, it's good for them to carry whenever they do! I don't think he's really used it, but the one live link (above) seems to be to a happy customer's Best Answer!

How do I ask about low vision products?

Due to age, I just cannot read those tiny displays, anylonger. I refer to the displays on calculators, cell-phones, etc. If I wanted to find/buy a cell-phone, with "Talking Caller I.D.", so that the phone would tell me who was calling, how do I ask about such a device? Any suggestions?

www.independentliving.com/departments.asp?dept=197
This site has cell phone magnifiers at a reasonable price. I purchase a "talking phone" through my phone company several years ago. It was a bit expensive then but the price may be lower on these now (my husband got mine in a divorce settlement) and Radio Shack may have them. Call your phone company (both cell and home) and ask them.
I know how you feel. I need glasses and I am to proud to admit my EYES are aging!

Sudden Blurred Vision, Low Heart Rate During Pregnancy?!?

Hey there I'm 19 Weeks pregnant with my first baby,
I have a doctors appointment on the 17th and that's the soonest they can get me in.
But tonight while sitting on the couch all the sudden my vision went extremely blurry and I couldn't see the text on my cell phone in front of me. It lasted for about 2 minutes and then went away. It hasn't happened again yet..
But I checked my blood pressure and it was 90 over 53
My heart rate was 55....
Is this too low? I'm 5'8'' 165 pounds, 18 years old.
With this being my first baby I'm so scared something could go wrong, and I Know an average heart rate is higher then that...
I'm not really a physically active person in the least bit...
Honestly is my Heart Rate too low?
Should I be more concerned?

Please if you don't know what your talking about don't respond and say yes you should go to the hospital immediately because you'll only freak me out.
Woman that know what there talking about please respond and let me know what you think?
It's normally pretty average.. Maybe a tiny bit lower but not too much. My heart rate is usually never this low though

is your blood pressure always that low??? you could have low blood pressure from being pregnant i have low blood pressure!! if i were you i would get it checked out!! your heart rate is 10 below normal, average is between 60 and 90!!! if you start to feel really faint i would go just get it checked out!! i started passing out and had to be put on bed rest!! if you have a lower blood pressure you might be okay but that is very low!!! i would personally just go and get checked out!!

Nuance TALKS 5.0 enables both blind and visually-impaired users to take full advantage of the many features found on popular Series 60 touchscreen mobile phones, including contact directories, caller ID, text messaging, access to Web browsers, and other applications like the popular Fring messaging application, all while retaining the original user interface. Until now, it has been challenging for the visually-impaired to use touchscreen devices given the dynamic placement of icons, letters, and numbers on virtual keypads, and existing screen readers for touchscreen phones override the original user interface for low-vision and fully-sighted users.
