my son needs a camcorder that has good night time vision (low lux) optical image stabilisation (as he will be filming fast moving sport) and also excellent editing facilities (as he wants to be able to transfer his images through his computer for You Tube) He is only 14 so i dont want a camcorder that is too expensive. could someone please recommend a camcorder that has all these qualities.
Many thanks
Isobel

The magic vision pierces rock, steel, concrete only to be stopped by my mostly-water mortal shell. Bit odd that. I would've anticipated having a much lower optical density than rock and steel, but apparently this isn't so.
The only possible answer is that souls are infinitely optically dense, which I suppose would make souls black holes.
Do you ever notice the spacetime around you curving more than it should?

A dioptric number and a magnification number are not the same thing. Diopter strength represents a specific magnification power (X). For example, a 5-diopter provides 2.5X magnification (at a distance of 8")
Can be worn over prescription or safety eyeglasses
Available in multiple dioptric strengths that provide a specific magnification power (X), depending on the distance from the object (focal length)
who has better prices for eye glasses? Target optical, Sears Optical, Pearl Vision or JC Penny optical?
All four companies you named are owned by a company called Luxottica, an Italian eyeframe manufacturer. Luxottica bought out Cole National Vision last year.
Luxottica also owns Lenscrafters and DOC Optics. It's one company competing against itself.

I notice black dots in the upper right 'quadrant', if you will, of my vision. I don't see them direction, but they are there. Also, same thing for the lower left - and in both eyes. The dots don't really get in my way, but I notice them.......
About two weeks ago, I was having difficulty reading a sale ad in the Sunday Paper........I couldn't focus on words and they almost seemed to 'drop off'.......almost as if the last 3 or 4 letters of a word just sort of disappeared. The same was true of TV that day........I couldn't focus if I looked directly at the TV. It was almost like if I looked slightly to the side of the screen, I could see the screen better........it was quite odd.
Wild thing about this is I wear glasses and have since I was about 9 and I'm going to be 38 later this year.......
I thought I might be showing signs of early diabetes.......for the simple reason that my Dad is diabetic and has these optical issues.....But, I had my fasting blood sugar checked yesterday morning and it was 79...and then about an hour ago, I checked my 'post lunch' sugar and it was 119. According to my Dad, those are good numbers, so I can't imagine it could be an onset of Diabetes that is causing odd things to occur in my eyes.
Yes, I should go get my eyes checked, but off the top of anyones head, might you have an idea as to what this could be that I am experiencing??
The spots are called floaters. You really should have an actually doctor check your sugar for diabetes. And he can then send you to an optometrist to have your eyes checked properly. Good luck.
i got in contact with an e-bay seller in his bid and he is sellling me his comp for 510$ with the following specs...the comp is super gaming...he gave me his number to contact and even talked to me and i asked him to send me the pics of the comp, he said he will send tomorrow

There are all sorts of issues here.
For one thing, why is he so hot to unload such a premo-system for so little cash. Under $600 for an i7 system? That’s barely more than you’d need to get an underpowered Dell from Best Buy – that should set off all sorts of warning flags.
Next problem – “money transfer”? What’s that? Better be sure it really is Paypal and not something like Western Union that he’s trying to pass off as PP.
Lastly, Alienware? Have you checked out their product support? I remember their pre-Dell days. I don’t know if they are more trustworthy now, but the thing is that their client base is still the same: drop a huge wad of cash for the highest-powered components, and but not necessarily the reliable of components. Overclock it right out of the box, and if it fries next month, AW will just replace it, right?

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18K 8th 1MP Digital Camera 18x wide-angle ...
FZ18. /> I wanted something, point and shoot was for my wife (she takes good pictures, but do not want to bother to make adjustments), but versatile for me. I used to have a film SLR, and understand the basics of controlling the shutter speed, aperture, etc. I loved the idea, 18x optical zoom, the 28mm wide angle, and find all the Shake Reduction / face protection, etc. I seriously considered the Sony DSC H5, H7 and H9, the Canon S5 IS, Olympus and Panasonic FZ8 SP-550UZ/560UZ. The Sony looks and feels great, but the specification is not as good as the new FZ18, and evaluations refer to the intuitive user interface and without a long learning curve. The Olympus and Canon offer in this class not match the specs FZ18 FZ8 and former model got good reviews, so I went with the last FZ18.
