Does anyone know glasses or a contact lenses for dogs in low vision?

I don't want my dog to take operation for low vision. If there is an item to help him to have good eyesight, I wanna get it for him. Tell me in detail, please. Thank you.

unfortunaly there is not glasses or contact lenses for dogs..
dogs can have vision problems, due to old age, Retnal problems,, or lens problems..

As far as surgery,,I assume because you mentioned it,, your dog has a form of cateracts? Cateracts in many cases can be corrected with surgery, the newer surgeries are quite effective.. although a bit expensive.. Cateracts comes in various forms (inherited) and also from several systemic issues.(diabeties). and can progress to the point of complete blindness, or poor vision and stay there,, some dogs never need the sugery, and ones that do loose complete vision, can often ajust and live a normal life.. so if you do surgery or not depends a lot on what you can afford,, how extensive the vision loss is, how quickly it progresses,, and how the dog adapts,, to the change.. if your dog has minimal vision imparment, It would not be a bad idea to wait and see, save up for the sugery if the dogs vision becomes such that he may adapt quite fine,, not loose complete vision and be a happy individual..

Rentnal problems,, unfortunaly are serious,, Most, cannot be corrected at this time, and sometimes lead to additional problems.. some are minor, and owners are completly unaware of them some progress to complete blindness..

low vision driving. what happens when u bring dl 62 form back?

well i have a visually impairment. i want to see if they give me a license or not. ok DMV SAYS

If you cannot meet the vision screening standard, you must have a minimum visual acuity in at least one eye better than 20/200 (best corrected). Visual acuity is a person’s ability to see items clearly and sharply and to recognize small detail. You may wear glasses or contact lenses to meet the minimum visual acuity standard but you cannot wear a bioptic telescopic or similar lens. DMV is not allowed to license drivers who do not meet the minimum visual acuity standard. (VC §12805
now i have 20/70 in both eyes corrected. is that gud enuff? an what do they look at the most? anyone whose done the dl 62 can u tell me ur experiences?

20/70 is better than 20/200 so I think you meet their standard. Standards vary from state to state, your eye doctor will know for sure if you meet the local standard -- ask when you take the form in to have it filled out.

Substitutes For Ghost Hunting Tools?

Hi, I'm doing a project for school on paranormal investigating, and I need proper tools because I'm spending a while in an allegedly haunted house. However, I'm quite short on cash, so if anyone could tell me if there's any way I can either get the below listed items for a very low price (free- $30.00) or how I could possibly make them or substitute for them, please tell me!

Items Needed:
EMF Meter
Infrared Cameras/Thermometers/Light Sources
Digital Voice Recorders
White Noise Generators
Digital Camcorders
Night Vision

EMF Meter - Compass
(it won't detect power outlets but a strong enough magnetic field will make it spin)

Digital Voice Recorder - tape recorder
(it will also record sound and at the end of the night you have a tape that others can listen to that they can't say you enhanced (faked) on your computer)

White Noise Generator - Portable AM Radio tuned between channels to the static

Digital Camcorder - Film Camera loaded with high speed film

Night Vision - Flashlight (or leave the lights on)

You will also need a some pens, a notebook, and a watch so you can write down what happens and when it happens.

If you want to try to locate a ghost hunting group in your area I suggest trying the links below.

Please e-mail if I might be of further assistance.

Can you help me? My grandma hasn't been acting normal. She seems confused & not concentrating & panics a lo?

Ok. So here's the deal. My grandma is diabetic & she is above 65 years old. & Lately (especially this past week) she has been having problems. She's had high blood pressure lately & unstable blood sugar levels (extremely high to extremely low). She says she has blurry vision & doesn't feel normal. She doesn't have insurance, but she goes to a free clinic. I just don't rly trust the nurse-practitioners there & want to make sure we're doing the right thing. If you can help by telling us what this sounds like, please do so. & Of course I'll make sure to check the internet & ask a doctor before taking any risks.
Today we went to the grocery store. At first she entered somewhat slowly through the entrance then walked on to pick up the hand sanitizer wipes and went inside. I of course assumed that she had seen the shopping carts in the entrance and ignored them on purpose because she didn't need them. But I discovered that she apparently didn't see them when she asked me where they were, looking around inside to find them (although I think she already knows that the carts were in the entrance). Anyway, I just brought the cart & she pushed it & we started walking along.
First thing I noticed was that she is much slower than she used to be. I could easily beat her and go around the corner for example and she wouldn't know where I went (in which case she would probably panic and look around not knowing what to do). So, I thought that maybe she's walking so slow because her feet hurt or she's too tired. So I asked her about her feet and if that's why she decided to push the cart herself so that she can lean over it. But she said her feet were fine. So we kept walking.
We took about three cycles around the store together. She stopped several times to check the prices of several items. It took her some time to find the prices of the items even if the price was right under the item. But once she finds it she can read it & compare with what she usually buys. Well, we finished our first cycle & we got near the entrance & she needed to go to the restroom. So, we went near it & I told her that this is where it is & that I'd wait outside. Yet, I still had to point it out again to her because she couldn't find it (although there's a big sign on top & of course the sign on the restroom door). Anyway, I waited outside for her just a little bit farther away from the restroom door, but close enough so that I could see her and she should see me. Yet, when she got out, she couldn't find me & stood in place, somewhat confused. I got closer & she said, "I couldn't find you" & it seemed she had panicked.
So, we went around the store again & I noticed she stopped & stood still several times in front of items I'm sure she wouldn't need. It didn't seem like she was checking the price or thinking of buying them, more like she wasn't really concentrating at all or she was testing her ability to see & concentrate. Also I noticed that if I make any change in the path we took before, she might not notice it at first, but if she doesn't see me, she panics, as if she is lost. She also wanted to check her blood pressure. So we went to the machine & when she sat she told me she couldn't find the Start button. So, I pointed her to the "Clear" button first & then I told her that the Start button is the green one & she found it. By the way, she said her pressure was fine.
There isn't much else to mention other than that when we were walking around I saw my mom several times, but I doubt Grandma noticed her at all, other than when she talked to her face to face. It seems that her vision might not be the problem, it's more like confusion & lack of concentration & of course panic.
Do you know what these symptoms sound like?
Thanks! God bless!
Thx a lot everybody.
She'll be getting her eyes checked later this month. Also, she had a lot of problems with her medications & had probably confused several medications together. What we'll be doing is we'll keep her medicine in check & we'll make sure she has good, healthy meals & taking her vitamins. I looked into both depression and Alzhiemer's & I think it'd be easier to tell what the problem is if we don't have any medication problems & if her blood sugar level is in check. Problem is we don't know what to do to get it back in line. She used to have it in control with an average of around 100-150 glucose level way back when. Now, it's either extremely high or extremely low. She eats well, no sugar (unless the glucose level goes low) & low carbs. She exercises & walks a lot (although she is getting weaker & her feet are starting to hurt). Any suggestions?
I wish there'd be a good doctor at the Free Clinic to fix it. For now, I'll try to find another way for her to get coverage.

I believe you should take her to a doctor. She is already 65 so she can apply to get medicaid call 211 or find out where you could take her to apply for it. It is very important for you to notice any changes in her behavior because it could be something worse. My grandma had a massive stroke a few days ago and I wish she was still able to talk and walk like yours. Take care of her and be very patience she could have begginins of Alzheimers or a complication due to her diabetes that is affecting her judgement.
