Due to age, I just cannot read those tiny displays, anylonger. I refer to the displays on calculators, cell-phones, etc. If I wanted to find/buy a cell-phone, with "Talking Caller I.D.", so that the phone would tell me who was calling, how do I ask about such a device? Any suggestions?

This site has cell phone magnifiers at a reasonable price. I purchase a "talking phone" through my phone company several years ago. It was a bit expensive then but the price may be lower on these now (my husband got mine in a divorce settlement) and Radio Shack may have them. Call your phone company (both cell and home) and ask them.
I know how you feel. I need glasses and I am to proud to admit my EYES are aging!

I have an outdoor low light security cam, need of an night vision LED illuminator, that doesn't produce a glow (that doesn't stand out) is there such an device out there?
Use LEDs that have a wavelength between 830 nm and 975 nm. You can't see them at all but many cams can. Be sure your cam doesn't have a filter glass in front of the camera sensor element that filters out IR.

I have been feeling very tired and week. I constantly need to lie down during day. I sleep for hours at night and still can't get up. I borrowed a blood pressure checking device and made notes of my bp each day. My diastolic BP is rarely above the 50s. I can have BP for the systolic reading at normal levels but diastolic always low and in mornings it all is low. I have bad visual disturbances but I have had my eyes checked and are ok. I feel sometimes as though I just can't focus and feel not with it at all. Yet, my vision gets really poor and washed out. I wonder what is going on. I had general health checks done and they are ok. No one has monitored my BP though until I used this machine as I just want to understand why I am nearly falling asleep at the wheel of my car some days. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I am late 30s, male. I went through a lot of family stress over last few years. I started to put on weight even though I am not a big eater (was 81kg and now hovers at100kg) and lose a bit and put back on quickly with no great variation in diet.......I look very puffy in mornings and eyelids are constantly swollen. I was studying at uni this year but nothing I can think of that must be making me feel this way long term.
last 3 years but it has been bad lately. I fall asleep in chairs in middle of day and when I wake up room is flickering like mad and that takes awhile to subside.
Blood pressure varies from person to person and also during the day. Some people have a diastolic blood pressure on the lower side and it is perfectly normal. A diastolic blood pressure of 50 is fine as long as you do not have lightheadedness or dizziness. The other symptoms you are describing are unlikely to be related to the diastolic blood pressure. The visual symptoms you are describing are not related to a low diastolic pressure. Falling asleep while driving is unlikely to be related to your blood pressure, but certainly should be investigated. Make sure you are getting enough restful sleep. You may also be evaluated for sleep apnea, because daytime drowsiness is a sign of this. You should see your doctor about this. The other symptoms are minor, but falling asleep while driving is dangerous to you and others on the road. Good luck.
know that video camera's can do thermal imaging (seeing heat sources) and night vision (seeing in the dark). But what else are the highest end camera's able to record?
And what can audio devices pick up? I know they can pick up things that are too high or low in pitch for a human ear to perceive. Anything else ?
Thanks.
It depends on the camera or detector. Visible Light is just part of the electromagnetic spectrum. We have different devices that are sensitive to the various parts of the spectrum (radio, microwave, infrared, visible light, ultra violet, x rays, gamma rays) Any camera or detector can be created to register the just about any wavelength. But for generating imagery that is meaningful to us in an everyday way there is little point going below infrared or ultra Violet.
As for audio devices - sound are pressure waves in a medium (typically air, but could be water or solid material). So we can build a microphone or detector to pick up any frequency of sound. But to 'hear' a sound below or above the human ear threshold the frequency must be converted into the range of human hearing on playback. So we never can 'hear' the Original sound. Be that as it may changing the frequency to audible ranges does not alter the patterns in the sound so if that is what we are recording for it is still very useful.
Which is the best device to get, I really want a powerful phone to listen to streaming music, watch tv, use REAL INTERNET, not limited vision internet, and i want extreme functionality.
IS there also a way to save alot of money when purchasing one, i know that if you have a certain email, you can buy a phone for a low price, SERO plan, or something? DOnt know, can anyone help
ok this is a two part question. Depending on who you ask you will get different abswers on the phone part. ALL the employees at my store have the Treo 700p and love it , they believe it is more user friendly and also doesnt carry the burden of windows problems. Most of us have windows on our computers so I know you know what I mean. Now the 6700, its cool , but its way bigger and bulkier and going to be replaced with a newer model shortly. I think a 6800 not really sure, dont quote me.
Now, for the sero plans. you need more then an email address these days. Now a days you also need the employess ID number. Im employee, I have filled one out recently for a friend. Best bet, go befriend an employee. They usually dont use all their given seros in any one year. I know I never have. You will however not save much money on the price of the unit. They have taken to not given much of a discount on the phones. Plus, if you did do it that way, you cannont transfer over your old cell number. When we were nextel, they gave us hefty discounts on sero phones....thats long gone thanks to sprint.
Good luck.
Ps , go to a sprint store and play with the phones, they should be activated and you can get a better feel for them. and whick one liked.

TearLab readies overhaul of dry eye market | BioTuesday
In the 1990s, Elias Vamvakas turned TLC Laser Vision into a medical success story, freeing hundreds of thousands of people from wearing glasses and contact lenses. Now, he’s back at the helm of San Diego-based TearLab ( NASDAQ:TEAR ; TSX:TLB )) with a groundbreaking diagnostic test for dry eye disease or DED.
“While laser vision correction surgery was a disruptive technology to optometrists and ophthalmologists because it forced them to change their traditional practices, the TearLab system is the complete opposite because all practitioners can adopt it seamlessly,” he says in an exclusive interview with BioTuesday.ca.
