Working For The Blind

I just went turkey hunting and loved it. We were using a blind and my guide told me that you can use them for any type of hunting. I was just wondering if ground blinds work as well as tree stands. And do they help with the scent? Please if you are a hunter, leet me know what you recommed so I cant buy a blind. (I need to do this before my grandpa will buy the blind)

No blind alone will block your scent. It my mask it if the blind is giving off a smell of it's own. Burlap material tends to do this.

I know a lot of hunters who use a ground blind for deer on my northern property. They are easier to carry in and out as we have a problem with items disappearing in the night. One of the hunters was a girl/woman working with DNR from her blind she took three deer in two days and maxed out in the county. Limit 1 antlered and two antlerless in my county. Her's were factory made.

I took a young hunter on his first deer hunt and figured a blind would give him some help and conceal use both. Simple four T post blind with camo material on three side open side against the tree line, strung together on site. Seen three deer in shotgun range in the first daylight hour. Yes he got his deer.

Tree stands do have a lot of advantages, higher elevation for better view, all shots are angled down, above deer eye line, and scent seems to be less likely to be noticed. The nice thing with a blind is that it is only a short fall. Same can't be said for a tree stand.

If I say somethings in the bible I give the exact verse or at least say what chapter it is in. If I'm not sure where a certain verse is I say so. If we aren't 2think for ourselves, if we aren't 2feel, if we aren't permitted 2 adorn ourself, if we can't speculate about things, we would be in the dark ages still we might as well be robots! Robots that's exactly ? the devil what's us2be so it can steal our soul. The devil would take it saying he or she isn't using it. just look paying more attention 2image than spirit that's real vanity! Chptr 2 Exodus : ? shalt thou gain if thou gain the world & lose thy soul (spirit)!
I bet U know ? religion I'm refering 2! There's only 1 that's against all those things that I mentioned. It starts with J.

Please don't tell me what's in the bible without exact proof. U might think your understand is right but U could be all twisted mixed up about it! I resent people saying certain things are in the bible and they make up verses that aren't even in it! This has happened alot in Yahoo.. hasn't it? If I say somethings in the bible you can be sure it is! I'm not going to lie. Any fool can get a bible and check it out! Most people don't they rely on the lies on the internet. We are on this earth so we can know what spirit is about.. why else would we be allowed to feel? If we don't have that we are just the walking dead! Anyone against feelings is of the devil! Correct?
sorry about the contraction things.. had to do that as Yahoo was limited words. if U can't understand contractions like 2 symbolizing to.. you're not thinking.. U want everything spoon fed or you're just a nitpicker! If yahoo didn't limit the letters then contractions would not be used!

I have experience working with blind children and I am interested in volunteering somplace on the weekends. I have contacted Light House International which is near me several times and I still have not heard from them, I'm looking for somplace in either Queens, Brooklyn, or Manhattan... I would like to go into some sort of field where I could work with the blind, but am not sure what jobs are out there that are specifically for the visually impaired. What jobs are there, and/ or how many ways are there to work with the blind?

I don't know much about that field myself, but I imagine there are all sorts of teaching jobs where you would assist people in learning techniques to maneuver through life. Perhaps working to train blind people to work with seeing eye dogs (the people need just as much training as the dog). A braille librarian. Why don't you contact organizations working with the blind to see what opportunities are available. I'm sure there are volunteer things you can do while you craft a career. Contact a school for blind or visually impaired people to see if you can volunteer for them. Look for a place that makes recordings for the blind. Take classes in Braille so that you can help translate materials in Braille or help someone learn to read Braille.
