Programs For The Blind

I have ALWAYS wanted to see what it was like to train a dog for the Guide Dogs For the Blind program! Has anyone done this before? Or, can you give me a link to see what it's all about?! Thank you SO much, and whoever has the best answer, well, get's BEST ANSWER! Thank you SO much!

Maybe contact your local animal shelter & see if they have any numbers or contact details for a Guide dog place.

I was wondering if anybody knows a free/cheap program like ZoomText Magnifier/Reader. Somebody very close to me is legally blind and I would like to have a program on my computer so he can also use it.
The price online is ridiculous, 600$??? Also, if anybody knows about useful websites for the blind, programs in NY, anything...Please let me know. He is young, into sports, nature and trips. Thanks a lot.

I read the article today, and the NFB is using the Americans With Disabilites Act to push their lawsuit. Where in this act does it say that corporations and companies have to create their websites to accomodate the programs that blind people use to navigate online? Though I understand that is hard for them to navigate websites using this program when the websites are mainly graphical, but what will this change. Will it change the way people build websites, will graphical content be regulated and more text based content be implemented? If they win, will it open flood gates to more lawsuits against websites that do not comply with the programs build enough?

"Where in this act does it say..." It probably doesn't, but there is case law on point or analogous, and the court will interpret the law within its sprit and intent. My instinct is that you might be right about the floodgates -- there might not be a lot of additional litigation, but if the plaintiffs are successful, there will be a lot of redesign.

I am doing a study about how Blind People are represented in TV programmes.
For this I need evidence as well (So i need to watch the programme)

I have been searching the internet all day for sources and have had NO luck at all !

Does anyone know where I can watch programmes with blind people in online ?

Or if people know any films where, Blind, Deaf or wheelchair users are the MAIN characters in the film. And it helps us see thier disability this would also be helpful.

But i Cannot do it through the (Add or Remove Programs Option) When i do that it says: Could not find log file.

You might have deleted some program files belonging to Window Blinds. I suggest you to reinstall the application and then to try to uninstall it.
