Why is it we go to war overseas to fight terrorism?

Yet millions of illegals sneak in to the country almost every year?

I live in California and have many friends and family who work for various Border Patrol agencies and just last week a high-level known terrorist was caught trying to sneak in to the U.S from Mexico.

Yet the media does not mention this whatsoever, the newspaper turn a blind eye to it and no one else has even heard of it? Seems like the only way to get true information nowadays is from having someone on the inside.

Indeed a sad state of affairs.

>>> STILL MISSING an "Internationally accepted" fair and correct definition for "Terrorist" to define who is Terrorist, Then the answer will be easy.

>>>If there is an "Internationally accepted" fair and correct definition for "Terrorist"
to define who is Terrorist, the answer will be very easy.

>>>A Freedom Fighter is not a terrorist.
>>>Any person calls freedom fighters "terrorists" is a real terrorist.

>>> SO. The First step to start should be "A fair definition of terrorism" :
Who is a terrorist :

A freedom fighters such as Hamas fighters in Palestine,
or
Coward land occupiers , such Israeli solders occupying Palestine since 1948. Since that time they are killing children, women and old people using phosphorous and chemical weapons, and forced the natives to leave their homes and live as refugees in other countries since 1948 until now.
Source(s):
Latest Israeli war on Gaza starts on 27 Dec. 2008, killing children, women and old people using phosphorous and chemical weapons.

>>> WHY the war ON and IN Afghanistan and Iraq???

>>>The racist *** lobby practiced its pressure on the US, UK and most of European Countries and fabricated the needed reasons to play the game of war directly or indirectly against any potential country, nation or party or otherwise which has a policy or objectives against THEIR interests in any part of the world.

Examples :

> Interest in wars against Al-Qaeda and Taliban in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Sudan... etc.

>> No interest in wars ( similar cases) against Korea, China, India, Pakistan and Serbia ... etc.

>> Don't worry about the reasons... dozens of lies are available !!!

>>> Now as it is clear that 11 Sep attack was well fabricated.

I'm looking for the name of a movie from the 70s?

It was about a scientist who bred together 2 different kinds of roaches. I believe one species was blind. He kept newspaper on the floor of their cage, and they learned how to read it and form words using their bodies collectively. They evolved and had the ability to fly. That's when they escaped and killed the scientist and went out the window to. . .conquer mankind or whatever. I"ve been trying to think of this for a long time. It came out in the later 70s.

Bug (1975)
aka The Hephaestus Plague
starring Bradford Dillman, Joanna Miles, Richard Gilliland, Jamie Smith Jackson, Alan Fudge, Jesse Vint, Patty McCormack (Rhoda of "Bad Seed"!), Brendan Dillon
IMDB synopsis:
An earthquake releases a strain of mutant cockroaches with the ability to start fires, which proceed to cause destructive chaos in a small town. The studies carried out by scientist James Parmiter, however, reveal an intent with much more far-reaching consequences.
IMDB review:
Cockroaches are creepy enough. Cockroaches with incendiary powers are creepier. But cockroaches with arsonist capabilities who can reason and think and mount an organized attack, that's just downright terrifying. The special effects weren't all that special, yet somehow this movie always frightened me. I remember rumors that somewhere they had used real foot-long roaches, but I don't know the validity in that.
Still, this is not just another monster bug movie, like all those killer bees, killer ants and killer spider movies that dominated the '70s. Based on a Thomas Page novel called "The Hephaestus Plague", "Bug" centers on a scientist played by Bradford Dillman, studying subterranean roaches released from an earthquake. The scene that always stuck with me: bugs on the wall, spelling "Parmiter", the scientist's name.
So if you're looking for explosions and action, or if you're looking for blood and gore, you might want to keep looking. But if you're in the mood for something original and a little creepy, then you might want to check this out.

I have a copy of Page's novel but, sadly, do not have a copy of the film. It's too bad that they didn't follow the novel more closely, but they still ended up with a creepy, skincrawling film. Team it up with "Squirm" and "Damnation Alley" perhaps. Remember the flesh-eating roaches that kill Paul Winfield? So, why doesn't the Sci Fi Channel add this to their buggy lineup?!

Blind 10 year-old writer that has the literary skill of a college student.?

I'm looking for her name. I was read the newspaper article over 4 months ago, in maybe the Houston Chronicle. She had written part of it, and her literary skill was not only impressive, but inspiring. My father says that she was asian, but I don't think that is definite.

I checked Google news without success. Check a public library that has a newspaper index. A librarian will help you.

Movies that display books, newspapers or magazines?

I am writing an essay on Mass printed media. Disney's Beauty and the Beast displays Belle's profound love for books. Does anyone know any movies that display magazines or newspapers. Any movies that are based in a magazine or newspaper setting? As many ideas as possible because I want to incorporate these in my introduction. I don't hardly ever watch TV so i am very blind as to what is going on in the movie industry. Thanks so much Jen

The movie "How to lose a guy in 10 days".

  • USU to close blind radio reading service | Standard-Examiner ...

LOGAN - After 34 years of delivering news and information to Utah's blind and disabled, the Utah State Library's Radio Reading Service will cease operation on April 21, 2010. The closure is due to difficult economic times and continued reductions in the State of Utah's budget.

This comes after recent changes to programming created a 24/7 broadcast; incorporated recommendations from the members of the Library's Consumer Advisory Committee; and added programs using third party sources (e.g. National Public Radio) to meet programming criteria requested by the listening audience.

Attempts were also made to web stream the broadcast, but issues involving technology and copyright law hindered the completion of the project, thus limiting the number of patrons who use the service. Coverage was not statewide but along the Wasatch Front, from Ogden to Provo. And, with the number of listeners declining and the state budget troubles, the operation became impossible to maintain.
