I got the snow blind map pack for Gears 2 and I heard somewhere that when you play horde it has cut scenes is this true???
I don't think that this is true. Horde mode remains the same, but it's played on a different map. Otherwise, the only difference is the way you fight the horde, since they come from different directions.

In this ppt you had to put the European countries in the correct place
on a blind map.
This would be fun for my students, but I can't find it anywhere.

afraid not - but facebook has a cool application that names places which you then have to guess where they are etc - countries to capital cities.
today i purchased the snow blind maps.. i have been playing it on wingman for 3 hrs now and I havent had a single match using the snow blind maps i purcahsed.. why is that? i am very upset now because i purchased that i could not use it for.. can someone tell me why i cant play on the blind maps on wingman mode?
i feel like i wasted my 800 MS points on this crapp since i cant use it at all..
Its not the maps.It just because the maps are too big for wingman so nobody plays the playlist for the new maps on wingman.Ever since the game had its second title update it takes forever!!!To find a wingman match!you either have to be teamed up with one of your friends or it'll take forever!
Also if your hosting the room and it takes forever still,let somebody else host the room and maybe youll find a faster match.Works for me half the time.
I was checking my download history when I noticed it had some recent downloads in there that I had not purchased or downloaded. Those things were: Battlefield: 1943, Gears of War 2: Snow Blind map pack, Gears of War 2: Dark Corners map pack, and Halo 3: Mythic Theme(Premium), and Halo 3 theme. I didn't buy or download these but will I have to pay for them? How did they get in the download history?
I have seen the same thing happen to my friends account. You're lucky the person who might have hacked your account didn't change your password and lock you out(what happened to my friend). It seems like the way you're saying it that someone definitely found out your password and logged on as you and downloaded that stuff. So I would check what ever card you have on the account and see if they were charged.

I'm color blind, and no, I can't read the white on orange text here. But I think it has more to do with font size than color? Also can't read most of the text in the legends because of size, and that's black on white. Zooming it doesn't work, because the text gets too blurry.

The Slashdot summary: " Scientific American has the story of Greek researchers who produce 3D "haptic" maps that "use force fields to represent walls and roads so the visually impaired can better understand the layout of buildings and cities." Two separate systems produce haptic output from standard video and from 2D maps. The systems have been tested on a small number of users. Currently the devices that interpret the "force fields" for sight-impaired users are not portable, and so the systems are most appropriate for doing research before, e.g., visiting a new city....
