Joke Teller What Jobs can blind people do to get money for themselves? Even invent some . Radio or music critic? Blind Chess Master? Swimmer? Radio Host?
In my opinion, there are not many jobs a blind person cannot do at all, even though he/she might be limited somehow.
Since there are many aids for blind people to get them mobile, working with computers etc, there truely shouldn't be any limitation to what you can do. Any computer work should be possible,
I presume there are some mobile jobs, like truck driver, taxi driver or mail delivery, that are not quite 'obvious' choices, but dispatcher at the taxi central (taking in calls and arranging the correct taxi to that location) should be easily possible.
Ever since I saw the recent movie/documentary about a group of blind Tibettan children conquer the Himalaya, I truely feel the only limits are in the person's mind.
They provide some key products for the government, like name tags for military uniforms or cleaning wipes for M-16 rifles. What makes these ...
what are the possible jobs that blind or visually impaired people could do for a living? please name some of them.
There aren't even jobs for one armed people in ICT when the economy is good, so what hope is there for blind people?
I have a friend who is blind and I just want to know if there are jobs that blind/visuallly impaired people can work and I can tell her about the jobs.
A person who is blind/ visually impaired can do almost any job a person without any vision loss can do. The newest Governor of New York is blind and there is a special counsel to the President who is blind. There are many many successful people who are blind in all areas of business. I know lawyers, social workers, computer programmers, and counselors who are blind.
I want to know all the possible color blind jobs for the Air Force... I already asked my recruiter, and they said to check online (which wasn't helpful) but I need to know if anyone out there knows of some jobs (since she said that there were for colorblindness, but doesnt know a list of them.)
This website lists the Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSC)

You might find a career field that interests you for an enlistment or more
This website describes the career fields broken down by Aptitude Area (Mechanical / Electrical / Administrative / General)

I would stay away from any career field that involves electrical repair (different colored wires involved that would all look the same color)
Feel free to check out my profile as I have answered a number of Air Force related questions of one form or another over time
I have low vision and am just out of college with a BA in English. I'd love to work for some sort of government organization like the NSA, FBI, CIA, ICE, etc, But I don't know what I could do that doesn't require 20/20 vision. Their websites only list field jobs, none of which I could do, Any ideas?
First step is to get out there and start applying for the jobs you wish to work at. Or you can call the company and ask them what their requirments are. 20/20 vision. I'm pretty sure they can not NOT hire you because you wear glasses. Best of luck.

The Blind Spot: How Cultural Differences Impact Admissions | B ...
I don’t often write about admissions geared towards specific cultural groups, since the admissions criteria for business schools transcend any nationality or occupation — an applicant needs to have a combination of strong leadership potential (career progression and extracurriculars that over time suggest greater responsibility for teams of people), exceptional communication/interpersonal skills, and analytical aptitude (with GMAT, GPA, and other quantitative-oriented responsibilities in the workplace).
However, after seeing the same sorts of questions and recurring themes particularly from Indian and other Asian applicants, this subjective process to admissions seems to be a particular blind spot, due to cultural differences (note here that I mean those whose were raised in and attended high school in Asia). This may be a sensitive topic, but it needs to be said rather than whispered behind closed doors, after seeing so many applicants and MBA students over the years from many backgrounds.
