Home For The Blind

I have a mini doxie pup that has been blind since birth. I thought that we had a home lined up for him, but it has fallen through. I don't have the time or finances to invest in his care. I've tried to surrender him to a no-kill shelter, but they refused him on the basis of his being blind. I've also placed ads online and in the paper, but have had no responses.

He is a great little dog and I'm fearful that if I drop him off at the local animal shelter for adoption, he will be put down as it is there policy.
His is the runt from our final (accidental) litter. We didn't think that he was going to make it past the first few days. He was supposed to go to a home that knew of his condition, but they backed out. There are very few places around here that will take him... believe me, I've looked! :(

You definitely contacted the wrong "rescue"!
Go to www.petfinder.com , then click on your state. You'll find hundreds of rescue to chose from.
Don't know where you're located, but if anywhere closed, I wouldn't hesitate to take into my rescue program!

Blind Faith - Can't Find My Way Home - 1969

I visited my Great grandmother for a couple of summers in the late 1970s early 80s and remember a few tenants she had at her home. A blind gentleman lived in the back house and made a yarn dog for me. Looking for anyone with information or remembers my grandmother?

This kitten is left out and tends to go around in circles. It is quite disoriented. The mother cat has been feeding it so that helps but soon it will be on its own. No one has the time to deal with it in the household.

"No one has the time to deal with it"? Then why did they irresponsibly allow their cat to breed? Why should this kitten become someone else's problem to "deal with". Would they do the same if they gave birth to a handicapped child?

Probably the best thing for this kitten would be for it to be put to sleep as its survival chances are pretty slim. You may think it's "killing a kitten" but by having this litter your friends have already killed cats or kittens at their local shelter since these kittens will take homes that would have gone to them. Please tell them to GET THEIR CAT SPAYED!

I currently have 4 dogs, mojo, stevie, nyko, and mikaya. when i brought stevie (he's blind) home from the shelter i work at he hit it off with everyone right away except for mojo. it's been a couple weeks now and still whenever they get too close a fight breaks out... i dont want to give up yet, but am not sure what i can do, if anything, to make this process easier on both of them. I've had mojo for over 3 years and he doesnt understand why he's being treated this way by the 'new guy'! HELP!

Maybe the bulldog is jealous. you should spend individiual time with each of your dogs

A man comes home, blind drunk from a night out with the lads and crawls up stairs to bed. When he wakes up he can smell and awful stench coming from downstairs. He goes down and finds his wife at the oven. The man asks "what are you doing?" and the wife replies "well you came in last night drooling and slurring your sentences and asked me to cuck your sock."
