im in the 9th grade and my vision is bad, right now i'm at the 300.

maybe not go blind but you could damage your eyes alot more!! i work at computers (without taking breaks like most offices)i use to have great vision now i eyes have started to hurt....and another guy in my job he got his eyes tested about 2years ago for his driving licence and was told he had perfect vision then he got them tested last week and was told he needed glasses!!!
although it may be over a long period of time..... with out hourly breaks you WILL damage your eyes

I almost got blind one morning and later i could see but i had a horrible headache up from my eye and i will stop play computer for like 3 weeks and i wonder if i wear glasses and take breaks every hour is gonna help?
Because i dont want to expirience that again :D.

First, you need to get your eyes examined. You may need glasses, it's more common the longer you stay on the computer. Taking breaks from looking at the computer is VERY important though, we call them "blink breaks". When someone looks at the computer, we have a tendency to stare and not blink as often, which dries out our eyes and puts strain on them. By looking away from the computer every 45 minutes or so and blinking for a minute will help the tear flow, decrease the strain and dry eyes. Still, get your eyes checked, if your eyes are straining just to see the computer, you will have headaches and tired eyes no matter how often you take blink breaks.

Can they even use Yahoo Answers?

I heard of courses for the visually impaired in Microsoft Word, but how do they do it? Nothing is explain to me...
I'm guessing that they use special keyboards, but I never seen such things in computer shops...

If they can use Microsoft Word, I'm guessing that they can use Facebook or Twitter, right? How does that work too?

Better yet...are there any computer games made for visually impaired? Or is that a stupid question?

If you have any videos showing how they did it, that would be a + for me!

My wife has 2 programs that she uses to play Yoville and Farmville, to do her job at work, and to participate on Yahoo answers, MySpace and Facebook.

One is JAWS (Job Access With Speech) and the other is ZoomText with reader. Both will "read' what normally appears on a monitor (her computer does not even have a monitor) and navigation is done by key commands. The keyboard is memorized by the user and there are special function keys that allow for quick access to many applications.

If one does not want to do all the typing themselves, there are voice recognition programs that will "type" what you talk. One that my wife uses is DragonSpeak; there are others.

For those who do have some usable vision, there are high contrast keyboards which make it easier to use the key commands and to type.
