Bright Red or Glossy Black Motorcycle #4?

20 hours ago decided to enter #3 after discovering #2 was being misunderstood. Today found #3 not in Motorcycles ...
so say howdy to #4. Is following 'too over the top' or has idea
been seen before? Add DOT approved third wheel rig having
secondary seating under mounting for optional sea kayak; the
overhang is within legal limit & not vision obstruction but for
the 4 o'clock blind spot as stern is slightly elevated. Hull is red
with yellow reflective deck, has dry storage compartments, &
easily can ferry 100 lbs of iced beer. Rig requires same as ballast minimum for left turns, officer, just look at my owners manual please. Street legal motorcross tires can run me up
from ocean to sub-alpine lake in a couple hours at 31 mpg so
I'm junking the '87 Dodge. Triple 'A' & cel' can get me a pre-
paid tow. Are doing home assemble mainly working from
components available from grainger.com and thule.com
P.S. Do you want the abnormality painted black or red?

Please post a link to the others, I don't always have the time to search, but I'm interested.
Black can be hard to see.
My red bike got totaled. Guess she couldn't see it.
Your choice.

OK, I found the time.
Looks like you are setting up a sidecar rig.
Will you be using the kayak as a removable "boat"?
It does not sound like it.

What's with the ten gallons of beer?(8.4lb/gal + ice)
How about an eye-catching combination of red and black?
Stripes, swirls, etc.

For any one who has seen Benjamin Button...?

This might sound silly but i dont care I might as well ask!!

For any one who has seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, you know the story about the blind clock maker (Mr Gateau i think)...does any one know if there is any truth to that story. I think i heard something very roughly similar once ages ago...but was just curious to see if any one else could provide some information! Thanks

which poems do you like the best?

The Sunlight on the Garden
The sunlight on the garden
Hardens and grows cold,
We cannot cage the minute
Within its nets of gold,
When all is told
We cannot beg for pardon.

Our freedom as free lances
Advances towards its end;
The earth compels, upon it
Sonnets and birds descend;
And soon, my friend,
We shall have no time for dances.

The sky was good for flying
Defying the church bells
And every evil iron
Siren and what it tells:
The earth compels,
We are dying, Egypt, dying

And not expecting pardon,
Hardened in heart anew,
But glad to have sat under
Thunder and rain with you,
And grateful too
For sunlight on the garden.

Wolves
I do not want to be reflective any more
Envying and despising unreflective things
Finding pathos in dogs and undeveloped handwriting
And young girls doing their hair and all the castles of sand
Flushed by the childrenæs bedtime, level with the shore.

The tide comes in and goes out again, I do not want
To be always stressing either its flux or its permanence,
I do not want to be a tragic or philosophic chorus
But to keep my eye only on the nearer future
And after that let the sea flow over us.

Come then all of you, come closer, form a circle,
Join hands and make believe that joined
Hands will keep away the wolves of water
Who howl along our coast. And be it assumed
That no one hears them among the talk and laughter.

Epilogue
Rows of books around me stand,
Fence me in on either hand;
Through that forest of dead words
I would hunt the living birds -
So I write these lines for you
Who have felt the death-wish too,
All the wires are cut, my friends
Live beyond the severed ends.

House on a cliff
Indoors the tang of a tiny oil lamp. Outdoors
The winking signal on the waste of sea.
Indoors the sound of the wind. Outdoors the wind.
Indoors the locked heart and the lost key.

Outdoors the chill, the void, the siren. Indoors
The strong man pained to find his red blood cools,
While the blind clock grows louder, faster. Outdoors
The silent moon, the garrulous tides she rules.

Indoors ancestral curse-cum-blessing. Outdoors
The empty bowl of heaven, the empty deep.
Indoors a purposeful man who talks at cross
Purposes, to himself, in a broken sleep.

Prayer before Birth
I am not yet born; O hear me.
Let not the bloodsucking bat or the rat or the stoat or the
club-footed ghoul come near me.

I am not yet born, console me.
I fear that the human race may with tall walls wall me,
with strong drugs dope me, with wise lies lure me,
on black racks rack me, in blood-baths roll me.

I am not yet born; provide me
With water to dandle me, grass to grow for me, trees to talk
to me, sky to sing to me, birds and a white light
in the back of my mind to guide me.

I am not yet born; forgive me
For the sins that in me the world shall commit, my words
when they speak me, my thoughts when they think me,
my treason engendered by traitors beyond me,
my life when they murder by means of my
hands, my death when they live me.

I am not yet born; rehearse me
In the parts I must play and the cues I must take when
old men lecture me, bureaucrats hector me, mountains
frown at me, lovers laugh at me, the white
waves call me to folly and the desert calls
me to doom and the beggar refuses
my gift and my children curse me.

I am not yet born; O hear me,
Let not the man who is beast or who thinks he is God
come near me.

I am not yet born; O fill me
With strength against those who would freeze my
humanity, would dragoon me into a lethal automaton,
would make me a cog in a machine, a thing with
one face, a thing, and against all those
who would dissipate my entirety, would
blow me like thistledown hither and
thither or hither and thither
like water held in the
hands would spill me.

Let them not make me a stone and let them not spill me.
Otherwise kill me.

looking for a clock pendulum?

We have a Jaunch 77 Clock movement that requires a 31-1/2" Pendulum, 4-1/2" Bob, 7-1/2" Swing. And it must be a 1 hook.
We bought the movement from an elderly man who built his own grandfather clocks, but is now going blind and had to sell his stuff. Needless to say the movement is brand new, but he purchased it back in 1979 from Emperor Clock Co who is no longer in business. Anyway, we have built the grandfather clock and looks great. However, we do not have the right pendulum for it. Does anyone know where I might find a pendulum that meets the measurements above? I have searched all over the internet and havent had much luck.
Thanks alot.

Go to WWW.Klockit.com they will have it.

Speaking Clock?

I work in a nursing home and one of the residents aged 101 has had a speaking clock for over 30 years (she is completely blind). It has now packed up completely and she is very distressed about it. I am trying to find out where I can get another one, but all my trips to the shops, internet etc have been unsuccessful. She needs either a speaking clock with a button that she can press at any time to find out what the time is, or a speaking watch that does the same thing. Can anyone help please?
