So long as The Power of God is remote, it is easy to mouth off glib theories and affirm belief in it. When you suggest to Christians that the Solution to a given problem is to invoke the Presence of God RIGHT NOW, your supposedly staunch comrades will bundle you off to the mental hospital as a total lunatic. Jesus had this problem:

LITTLE IS KNOWN ABOUT MARY AND MARTHA, but that Jesus spent a lot of time with their family. He is depicted as having taught at least Mary, a number of private teachings. These teachings must have been of very poor quality.

THE FOUR GRADES OF WORD OF GOD.

1. MILK: This is a watered-down version of Truth that is USELESS FOR GROWTH. Those “fed” on “MILK” are fall into strife, envy, and division.
They can be expected to never grow beyond Unjustness/Wayside (1st Cor. 3:1-3).

2. BREAD: This is the basis for growth. In Aramaic language (the language of The Bible common people,) when a thing is easy, it is compared to bread (Num. 14:9). Jesus’ Teachings are the Bread for those who are processing Salvation (John 6:35; 8:31-32; Matt. 7:21-29).

3. MEAT: This is the spiritual food for those who have obeyed the “BREAD” Teachings. This is the spiritual energization that comes about not from communicating with WORDS but ACTIONS and POWERS (John 14:12; 15:7-8; Matt. 11:5-6).

4. STONE: This is Word of God which can ONLY be assimilated by GOD-LEVEL AWARENESS- that is to say, WITH The Holy Ghost. This pertains to the SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION TRUTHS that are BEHIND EVERYTHING else (John 14:26; 16:12-15).

-JESUS DID SUCH A GREAT JOB of teachings Mary and Martha, they not only could not heal their brother Lazarus themselves, but they could not even believe that Jesus could still raise their brother from the dead THAT DAY.

Martha affirmed belief in the DAY-OF-RESURRECTION THEORY.
The unspecified belief that ONE DAY GOD will raise EVERYONE from the dead. If anyone believed that, why could they not believe, since God was already in existence, and the corpse of their choice was already dead, WHY COULD THEY NOT CALL ON GOD TO RAISE ANYONE THEY WANTED FROM THE DEAD?

People push the concept a thousand or two years into the Future, on the logic that if you get far enough away, it doesn't hurt any more.
What is intolerable to most "Happy Millennium" Christians, where they will even literally throttle you to shut you up, is the suggestion that ANYTHING it is believed God WILL do in the remote Future, He can be called upon to DO IT NOW.

The REMOTE FUTURE doctrines evolved when FALSE Christian Clergy took over the church, and had to cover up the fact that their "holiness" was
purely imaginary.

JOHN 14:12-15.

and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father.

MOST CHRISTIANS HAVE NO TIME for HOLINESS.
Their Salvation is debatable. If they call on God in an emergency, chances are, God will NEVER hear them, and do NOTHING to alter their circumstances. There is a minute minority who do have the ability to bring thgeir prayers into reality. These are confused by the false teachings of Christian clergy, that dog them even after they escape their various churches. They run to one of two extremes- either that they are some Chosen Modern Messiah-type, or else, No Better than anyone else-
that everyone has the powers they exhibit, and they must be doing themselves some sort of injury by using them.

A powerful Pentecostal Denomination in our country (Redeemed Church of Christ) boasts a testimony of when the founder was out of gas one night on our dangerous roads. He prayed, and it was revealed to him that he should tell his driver.... to go do.... his Number One in the tank. He did so, and his urine turned to petrol, and he was able to drive on.

Another pastor was in the same jam, and said, "In The NAME of Jesus- I do what Brother Adeboye did!" His engine knocked.

I am saddened by the number of Christians that think that THAT is a FUNNY STORY!
My boss, deputy boss, and another worker, were sitting around LAUGHING at a Christian Brother who went on a 40-day and night fast. Neither eating nor drinking those 40 days, according to my deputy boss, (who is also a Redeemed Pentecostal pastor). He gleefully related how he was wizened lean, finally hospitalized Day 40.
This fellow DIED in hospital.
I was immediately interested to know the details of how this was. None of them were interested in telling ME- they know how stupid I make them look.

I used to be a member of a church expert in fasting (Franklin Hall's FULL SALVATION CHURCH). The longest I ever fasted was ten days. I could have gone longer, but I ran out of leave time. I use fasting instead of medicine. I do not even need to pray anymore to be healed from the endemic Malaria which has killed several drug-taking Christians- some I even knew.

It is possible for someone on top of a mountain (surrounded by clouds) to absorb up to a gallon of water a day through his skin. It is a FOOLISH RISK to take, and cannot help your intestines. If you are not used to short fasts of up to a week, you have no business doing 40 days at a stretch. Nonetheless IT WAS THE HOSPITAL that MURDERED this fellow. The motive being that he had discovered something THEY don't want us to know: Fasting cures 98% of
all functional ailments and diseases.
There is nothing funny about this, and it may save the lives of some readers here.

The body enters into a state you have to experience to understand, when it goes without food for 4 days, and up to 14 days.
People who want the ignorant to worship them for fasting for long, do not tell you that by the 4th day you no loner feel hungry.
You WILL feel HORRIBLE for the first week, because when the carbohydrates (glycogen) in the body are depleted, the body falls back to "Plan B," which is to release special enymes to begin the use of fat (lipedes) in the body. In a body of normal weight for its size, this can last you for about six weeks. ONLY THEN can you be in danger of STARVING TO DEATH, or suffer HEALTH COMPLICATIONS- because "Plan C" involves breaking down PROTEIN in the body for food. THIS KILLS.

The burning of fat is GOOD for us, and apparently BAD FOR GERMS. They do not seem able to survive the enzymes released. They are all killed.
The multiple thousand-dollar treatments for cancer, let alone the liposuction cosmetic treatment that killed our former Nigerian First Lady (Stella Obasanjo), are simply unnecessary if fasting is implemented sensibly early. (It is foolish to expect physiological miracles in the final stages.)
The arrogant behavior of Medical Science shows that it does not want people to know this, and will even commit murder to prevent the public from finding out that its extortions are unnecessary most of the time. When a body is fasting, it first flushes all the fat-associated toxins that have accumulated for even decades, presuming that the subject drinks a sensible quantity of water every day (i.e. 2 litres). Next the body seems to audit the remaining resources and parcel them out to exactly where they have to go in the body. If any part of the body is malfunctioning, to take away from the rest of the body- as a cancer would- it is starved into submission or extinction. Thirdly, repairs are made.
This is just one example of something invaluable that Christianity could contribute, if Christians were serious. If Jesus had to fast forty days and forty nights, why do the wicked clergymen assure every Christian that it is "NOT NECESSARY," with their filthy guts and greasy cheeks, upper and lower, protruding as they preach, then extort even millions of dollars pretending to counsel their blind followers in all the problems and crises that befall them ONLY because they never fasted as Jesus fasted?

Even when I was handicapped by the false teachings that fasting is no longer necessary, I was able to heal myself of malaria- which is a lethal disease if untreated- I know people who have died of it, despite medical treatment- with my own prayers, without medicine (which was becoming intolerable to me at the time, also). I also healed other people with my faith. I saw a young man go from feverish red-eyed painful illness to complete healing in minutes, as I sat and preached to him.
I have in my time, *COMMANDED* it to stop raining, and it did instantly.

I have experienced "Holy Ghost Fire."

No one can tell ME that these things are not REAL. Are YOU so easily deceived by those blind, deaf, and uncouth souls as have never investigated The Treasures of Goodness in God for themselves, because they are themselves Generationally Evil?

MATTHEW 10:32-33.

THOSE CHRISTIANS WHO are hiding their faces in shame, before the empty scoffing and scorn of Unbelievers will NEVER experience The Kingdom of God in practice! This takes a LOT of hard work!
The Kingdom of God requires a lot of support. It goes very hard on The Peoples of God and the nations they dwell in, when ONLY ONE MAN at a time stands up and for God and What God stands for!

As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice. None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.

He was the Great Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Messiah of the New. Under the direction of His Father, He was the creator of the earth. "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made" (John 1:3). Though sinless, He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. He "went about doing good" (Acts 10:38), yet was despised for it. His gospel was a message of peace and goodwill. He entreated all to follow His example. He walked the roads of Palestine, healing the sick, causing the blind to see, and raising the dead. He taught the truths of eternity, the reality of our premortal existence, the purpose of our life on earth, and the potential for the sons and daughters of God in the life to come.

He instituted the sacrament as a reminder of His great atoning sacrifice. He was arrested and condemned on spurious charges, convicted to satisfy a mob, and sentenced to die on Calvary's cross. He gave His life to atone for the sins of all mankind. His was a great vicarious gift in behalf of all who would ever live upon the earth.

We solemnly testify that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary. He was the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten Son in the flesh, the Redeemer of the world.

He rose from the grave to "become the firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Cor. 15:20). As Risen Lord, He visited among those He had loved in life. He also ministered among His "other sheep" (John 10:16) in ancient America. In the modern world, He and His Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith, ushering in the long-promised "dispensation of the fulness of times" (Eph. 1:10).

Of the Living Christ, the Prophet Joseph wrote: "His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:

"I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father" (D&C 110:34).

Of Him the Prophet also declared: "And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!

"For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—

"That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God" (D&C 76:2224).

We declare in words of solemnity that His priesthood and His Church have been restored upon the earth—"built upon the foundation of ... apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone" (Eph. 2:20).

We testify that He will someday return to earth. "And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together" (Isa. 40:5). He will rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bend and every tongue shall speak in worship before Him. Each of us will stand to be judged of Him according to our works and the desires of our hearts.

We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles—that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son.

You're exactly right. It is a Christian statement. I don't understand why people don't think the LDS aren't Christian because we believe and revolve our beliefs around God, the Eternal Father and his son, Jesus Christ. I just don't get it.
