You have a wonderful list here. I don't like all of them, but the variety is astonishing.

I like Dr. Zhivago. That seems to be a very contraversial choice and I don't know why. Someone has to explain that to me.

I also like The Magic of Ordinary Days. It was so unexpectedly good. There were no fireworks, no great moments where she realizes what should have been obvious to her especially about him. An example to all guys on how to deal with a certain type of woman.

I seem to be in a soppy mood. How about the Outsider and Tim. You have to be stone not appreciate Mel Gibson and Piper Laurie. The outsider has astonishing music. Stars Naomi Watts and Tim Daly.

I iked Up. The first 10 minutes was for adults. The silence and the summary of their lilves was so well done.

The Godfather series. The defining movie series of the 70's second only to 1939.

Casablanca and For Whom the Bell Tolls. Both have Ingrid Bergman. What range she has.

Blind Side. I can watch Sandra Bullock read a phone book, but I feel that way about many actresses.

Rocky. I was surprised when I first saw it in 1976. Its charm and energy have not decreased in the least.

Amadeus.

Shindler's List. What a dark profound moving film.

Supergroup Smackdown Wildcard 1: Which Blink-182 side project was better?

Angels and Airwaves (2005)
Tom Delonge, Atom Willard (The Offspring, Alkaline Trio) Ryan Sinn (The Distillers) David Kennedy (Hazen Street, Box Car Racer)

vs.

Plus 44 (2006)
Mark Hoppus & Travis Barker, Craig Fairbaugh (Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards, Transplants) Shane Gallagher (The Nervous Return)

Wecome to Supergroup Smackdown. The top 8 have been seeded, and 16 other bands now vie for position.
The top 8 are (in no order) CSN, Blind Faith, ELP, Wings, Bad Company, Asis, Travelling Wilburys, and The Highwaymen.
Contendors for the other 16 are (also in no order) The Firm, Damn Yankees, Electronic, Pigface, RevCo, Temple of the Dog, Mad Season, Down, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, A Perfect Circle, Fantômas, Oysterhead, Velvet Revolver, Angels and Airwaves, and Pluss 44.
Write in votes may be cast in any of the first 8 rounds, but without support from others, they stand little chance of victory, so choose which round to submit them carefully.
Yes, the Traveling Wilburys will get their fair shot at the title. To be honest, they are seeded #2, based soley on the massive talent in these five gentlemen. But, one can never tell. Some upstart band may really seize this, and beat them out.

The contest will continue, with one new matchup per day. Look for the Wilburys to face thier first opponent sometime soon.

I'm going to go with Angels and Airwaves, since you never hear any +44 on the radio.

Do you like my Satanic poetry?

I can see the feeble creatures of heaven.
Innocent and weak in their white garments.
Sitting high above as faceless slaves.
Their empty eyes, too blind to see.
Terrorized and controlled with strings.

Don't hide from me, open to your darker side.
The die is cast, there is no turning back.
Strike them down with hellish power.
Warriors of the pit shall prevail.
Their lives will end in despair and flames.
No cross to protect their rotting souls.
Prayers to ashes, angels to dust.

Death from the sky, you won't survive.
Darkening clouds will fill the skies.
Vaporizing all your prayers, burning them away.
A funeral held for the lies of christanity.
All humanity will soon learn,
That jesus christ shall never return.

Final day of christianity.
Leviathan rises from the raging sea.
Seize the power and glory, Lucifer is calling.

I am Satan, master of the Earth.
Condemn your souls for all they're worth.
Bow down and worship me,
'Cause I'm your savior for all eternity.

Rotting minds of the weak, continuing to spread their god disease.
I've done my masters bidding, summoning Lucifer from the Earth.
Ending their plight, ending their faith.
Ending their lies, ending their fantasies.
Go away son of god, stay buried in your grave.
You were weak, you were a liar.

Move forward and appear, my lord Lucifer.
All of us await for thee.

Dark worship in Lucifer's name, embrace the darkness.
Wildness burns deep inside of me,
destroying the ignorance called christianity.

An alter of doom, towers above the light.
Behold the eclipse, pitiful sheep shall soon ignite.
Satan's flames are to burn the weak.
Master of the shadows, you are afraid.
He reveals the knowledge you've tried to hide.

He shall ascend through the sky as the landscape fades.
The battle rages for the church of the frail.
Prayers of fools fall into darkness.
Victorious again, he shatters thy holy cross.

The defeated and idle are cast into the sea.
Perched upon his new throne, a dark immortal.

Crying out from the church, their empty minds already enslaved. Voices from the shadowy realm, the beginning of the end. Powers of darkness encircle the light as he bursts from the earth. The sound of his voice from his kingdom calls to me. Crushing holy hypocrisy. Black magic working, powerful spells cast. Rise from the earth, arise. Evil in their eyes and blasphemy. Church of christ dies while Satan survives.Seizing power in Satan's name. A life of death is what he craves. Hail Satan!

it's hillarious.

What does Yahoo! think? and what happens next?

SCENE 1/OPENING CREDITS
We can see moonlight through Venetian blinds cast on the wall. We can hear a gentle wind rustling, and see the silhouette of a tree branch swaying.

There is little sound as the opening titles roll, but then we hear the sound of a video tape automatically rewinding. When the titles have finished, we slowly tilt/pan down to reveal a bed with a man quietly sleeping.

We can now see the light cast from a tv is also shining on the scene. After a short while, the tape finishes rewinding and ejects itself. The man is woken by the sound. He sits up slowly, and his face is half lit - with the blinds shadows covering him.

He looks and his bedside clock
CUT TO
CLOSE UP

We can see the digital clock shows the time 3:57 am. we then

pan to

the left, to show the right side of his face, still only half illuminated. He remains calm, despite the fact he has been awoken, and has stayed up late watching this video in the first place. He looks around his room, as if looking for danger, and gets up to get a glass of water. We do not move from our POV, but we do hear what he is doing.

We hear him get his water, turn off the tv etc. He gets back into bed (and back into shot) and lies down, facing the camera but looking slightly past it. Hold the shot for 3-4 secs then
CUT TO

Sorry, I fell asleep!

Do you let people talk you out of getting to Jesus?

I wanted to know if you allow what people say to you, or think about you keep you from reaching Jesus. People will tell you , there's no use to pray, quite down and act civilized, God's not going to do that.
I would like to share some scripture to go along with this question.

Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

See how that many of the people tried to get Bartimaeus to be quite, just hold his peace, stop crying after Jesus. If he would have listened to them, he wouldn't have got his miracle.
I would love to hear what you have to say about this, and share whatever you feel like you should. Thanks to all who answer sincerely.

Do you allow people to talk you out of trusting Jesus? Are you concerned with how they may view you? Like they may think you are crazy, or a fanatic?

Thanks again for reading and considering this question.

Sincerely, Andrew

Dear brother Andrew...I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ...many have attempted to silence this good news...but it was paid for at the cross, with His blood and suffering. So I can suffer too for Him...it's what he asks of us! To be as he is! So others may discourage me but I still run to him! He is my supply. God bless you Andrew, and all who are sincerely seeking him! May we be blessed in discovering more and more of Him!

This question is good as what you are subtly wanting us to see is that we need to focus so much on Jesus, and not let anyone prevent us from having our connection to Jesus. Not even our brothers/ sisters in the Lord! Helpful brothers or sisters may mean well but aren't capable of fully knowing the mind of Jesus Christ our Lord. He is our first loveand it is he we should run to. We are to please the Lord first and listen to his voice first!
This is a great question Andrew...I had to come back and say..."I wanta cry for Jesus...just like the man did in the verses you have quoted...Cry like a baby...Jesus did notice him and he was healed! Praise the Lord...let us Cry and weep a river...if that is what it takes! God Bless you ...you are so smart! :)

Blu-news.com » Blog Archive » The Blind Side Blu-ray Review

Video presentation. The movie looks great in high-definition…for the most part. I watched the movie several times on Blu-ray, first on a regular HDTV and most recently on my high-def projector setup. Both times I was quite impressed but did not find the transfer perfect.

Colors were one of the most appealing aspects of the high-def presentations, they were always very rich and vibrant and compared to the best on the format. That being said, I did not find detail to be as impressive as I had hoped. Yes, most scenes do look very strong detail-wise, but softer scenes happen occasionally which makes the presentation feel a tad inconsistent.

The upgrade from the included DVD is very nice to see. Everything is notably improved and I am so glad Warner Bros. gave the film the healthy encode it deserved, this was a nice surprise to see the film alone could not fit on a BD25, partly due to runtime but if released in the past it would have likely had a smaller encode.
