The Bible compares 2 kinds of faith in "from faith to faith":
- faith(trust) in Mosaic law: "blind" guides leading the blind
- faith in grace & truth: born again to "see" KofG within you

Eg: John 5:45
Do not think that I (grace) will accuse you to the Father:
there is [one] that accuseth you, [even] Moses (law),
in whom ye (do err, greatly and alway) trust.

Evidence makes it "evident" no man is justified by the law.
Eg: the Hebrews 11 hall of shame "evidence":
"these all died" & "received not the promise"

For "the law is not of faith": Galatians 3;
And JC faith has no partiality: James 2.

So begin faith-->hope-->charity(never fails) with grace,
unless ye(do err) want yer hope to become as hopeless,
and love to fail as often as divorces & wrongful convictions.

Solomon: Proverbs 4
"with all thy getting, get understanding"
when understanding is embraced,
result: thy head crowned with grace

How dose Inherit the Wind make a case for metaphorical reality" (reason's) versus a literal interpretation" of the Bible (Blind-faith) as a basis for the true practice of Christianity as a faith or religion?

One thing it does, is point out that a literal interpretation of the Creation story in Genesis makes no sense even if we attempt to accept it all as literally true. Within the play, the defense lawyer points out that the world was created in seven days, check. But the sun was not created first, it was created in one of the later days.

So what does it even mean, to speak of a "first day"?

In light of this, understanding the Bible as metaphorical, is the only thing we can do.

In Christianity, the majority of Christians are thus because they are content to hold blind faith. Why is this? I'm sure many Biblical characters must've said something about not questionning anything, or not allowing curiosity to get the better of you, or disregarding anything that doesn't pertain to the mechanics of their faith. Do such quotes exist, and if so, where?

Also, a side question for Christians, why do you run on merely blind faith and love for your deity? Don't give me a silly answer like "Those who don't love the Lord have been possessed by Satan," I want to hear why YOU are content to love and trust God with no recompense.

Bible says in the book of Leveticus, Ch. No.14, Verse No.49 to 53 - it gives a novel way for disinfecting a house from plague of leprosy, disinfecting a house from plague of leprosy. It says that… ‘Take two birds, kill one bird, take wood, scale it - and the other living bird, dip it in water… and under running water - later on sprinkle the house 7 times with it. Sprinkle the house with blood to disinfect against plague of leprosy? You know blood is a good media of germs, bacteria, as well as toxins

Atheists hate or at least dislike religious people for having Faith.
(and don't say you don't because you wouldn't be on here answering all religious questions negativity or looking at my question)

Well in the video the guy keeps on criticizing religious people for believing things without evidences BUT Atheists YOU do the exact same thing. You believe scientists who tell you things like:
-how old the Earth is
OR
-Where humans or life came from
OR
-for fun how far Earth is from the Sun.

This guy in the video said that we are believing the Bible on Blind Faith because there is no proof of God existence or other things. But it is okay for Atheist to believe scientist because they have "Proof" But how certain are you Atheists that what scientist say is 100% true? The scientist could say (I use the distant from Earth and the Sun as an example.) we are 150 million km from the Sun. Yet does anyone go out and measure every mile we are from the Sun. Do we go and measured every mile from Earth to the Sun? No! We trust what the scientist say and leave it at that. But what is so wrong for people believing God who is without sin and cannot lie to us versus a scientist who is with sin and could lie to us or be wrong.

Isn't this the same thing?

You may say that scientist have instruments to back their proof but whatever they did, used, or look at could be wrong! We cannot go back in time and looked at what created us. The half-life, rock layers, and fossils could all be inaccurate. So is it hypocritical for Atheists to criticize religious people for believing God on blind faith when they do the same thing to head scientists?

Why Atheist hate Religious Leaders when they have blind faith in scientist?

I didn't think I would, but I really like your point. It's more intelligent than most arguments against atheism are. However, I do not hate people of faith, and many atheists are extremely tolerable of other faiths. However, many of the atheists on R&S are full of themselves and have to shoot down every Christian/Muslim/Jewish etc. statement that anyone has to say in the most immature and disrespectful manner. (Keep in mind, though, that Christians on R&S do this too).

Now, as for your argument stating that people merely take the word of scientists (which likely includes a lot of atheists), it's actually pretty true, but only for SOME people. If you really truly delve into the world of science, then you will see the proof and the incredible resources these scientists have to enforce their theories. However, many believers in scientific fact and theory etc. have little knowledge of these processes. Therefore, they do in fact have "faith" in scientists. However, this faith can be switched to absolute belief when people take in-depth science courses and obtain degrees and work in labs, etc.

But it really does bother me when an atheists tries to use evolution or the big bang theory as support for his/her argument when, in reality, the only education he/she has received about it is from some mediocre high school science class. Honestly, how many of these people can say they truly understand WHY the theory of evolution works or WHY the Big Bang theory has proven to be so valuable in the scientific community? They are just using words without the real intelligence to back it up. It is exactly like faith!

I don't "hate" religious leader for teaching/following blind faith, but I do have issues with that. And I think your argument is actually really credible because so many people on here (not all of course) use evolution in their arguments without knowing the fine details, JUST as some Christians etc. do when they try to refute the ideas. In my opinion, both parties are just as ignorant.

So anyway, I'm writing way too much. Just want to say that I love your argument, and it's sad that more atheists can't open their mind and appreciate it.
