I really want to get into working for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. I have looked at various positions on their website and read all the information and there are 3 main positions of interest, Guide Dog Mobility Instructor, Guide Dog Trainer and Rehabilitation Worker. I really want to talk about the positions with someone who knows more about them so I can get more of an idea which is most suitable to me. Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction of who to talk to or indeed would you yourself be willing to discuss it with me if you have relevant experience. Thank you!
Why don't you get a point of contact from someone on the website. You can ask them the questions that you have and you could also do a search for local facilities where you live. If there is a local one, you could go to it and call.

Blind association protests girl's rape
BHUBANESWAR:
Outraged at the alleged rape of a 20-year-old visually-challenged girl here, the
Orissa Association for the Blind (OAB) on Saturday demanded quick chargesheet
against her tormentor, a taxi driver. In a letter, the association urged chief
minister Naveen Patnaik to provide her with social security by giving her a job
and.
On Thursday night, the girl was allegedly raped by the cabbie
near the railway station here. Ironically, the horror happened on World
Disability Day. The accused, identified as Bikash Behera, reportedly misled the
20-year-old girl and took her to a vacant building and raped her. Police
arrested Behera and produced him in court.

NABA began on December 7, 1908, when ten blind men and women came together in an effort to overcome the difficulties of adjusting to their vision loss. Then known as the Albany Association of the Blind, the organization was housed at 105 Lancaster Street, and began to offer social and workshop activities to its members. These activities generated employment for blind individuals, and the goods produced were sold to help support the growing association. In 1923, NABA relocated to 208 State Street in Albany. Thirty-five years later, in 1958, the Association purchased its current building at 301 Washington Avenue in Albany.
