Abacus For The Blind

My friend Kayla is great at English and everything else but math. She has a really hard time with it, not in learning basic things such as multiplication tables, but in fractions, percents, decimals, proportions, setting up equations...and she hasn't gotten to graphing yet. She's really worried about taking the graduation test, and I was wondering if anybody out there had any strategies for learning math concepts easier. She learns them, but its an extremely uphill battle, and after a little while she usually forgets what she learned. She has no trouble with her math textbooks, technology, calculators, or abacus, its just the math concepts that get her. In other words, being blind doesn't have a thing to do with it, its just that she has a learning disability in math. Any help would be appreciated.

Best thing to do would be to talk to the teacher-he/she will be able to advise on extra tuition sessions, methods of remembering the tecnhiques and support during the test. She may not have a learning disability in maths she may just be one of millions of people who find maths a challenge, so be weary of treating her as 'special educational needs' in areas which she's not!

Hey. I'm bored. It's 3am in England. I decided to write a poem or two. I've never really don poetry. Please give me feedback? They were literally wrote off the tip if my tounge. I didn't think about it and some of it I haven't even read through. Feedback honestly. There's gonna be loads of typos because I wrote this on my iPhone, but just ignore them.

1) this is about butterfly wings. And how certain people need to let me recover from things that have happened to me recently.
Like a hot knife through butter:-
You may flash me a shot of pearly whites,
But I don't really need to see this sight!
You ask me to open up to you some day soon,
But dead butterflies can never escape from their cocoon.
One day something beautiful will arise,
But not under the watch of your eagle eyes.

Do you want to build me up instead of knocking me down?
It looks like you're trying to knock me to the ground. 
Why can't you see? 
All you need to do is fix my wings to let me soar free!
Tape and glue may seem a worthy sealer,
But it's only a concealer, time's the only healer. 

Butterfly wings may seem angelic although,
This pair doesn't come with it's own halo. 
Sometimes my wings may seem pretty and fair,
But be warned: they blend with the flowers and may easily tear. 
I've broken my wings and Im trying to grow some new,
But you'll have to be patient to ensure these ones are true.    
Have you ever considered that I'm still hurting too?

If I tried to count the hurt you've inflicted on me,
It would take more than these two hands to be,
Even close to the amount of times I've cried over you,
You're one of a few.

I'm done with  my emotional abacus. instead I will use, 
My fingers to reach out to fix your short fuse,
From the electricity that sparked when the stars leaned down last night,
From the friction you caused when you gave me such a fright.

Friends are there to stab you in the back,
But you're only here to pay me one back,
For not being right for your stencil fit,
I'm digging myself deeper into an ever-growing pit. 

You're a saint, you're a star, but you shine too bright for my liking,
I cant keep up with you when you blind me  in one sighting. 
You're life is so bad I hear you say?
I'd like to see you fill these broken heels for just one day. 

You're not the only star in the galaxy you know,
Just because it's nowhere near doesn't mean it doesn't glow. 
You burn so fierce that I daren't come near,
You've made my unimportance crystal clear. 

Stop teasing me around, if you want me just say!
I'm too old to fool around and play,
Your sick little games that make me crumble,
With your little finger you could make me instantly trip and tumble.

If I break away you'll go and sew me back,
But you only tack,
I can pull away from you with oh-so-ease,
Would you cut me away please?

I know they're probably awful. Thanks.

Never say you're art is awful, it's your creative expression. What is good and what is bad? as defined by whom? Art is subjective. Ddi it feel good to write these? If your answer is yes then it was already worth it.

And, by my opinion, these are far from awful. Your ability to rhyme without being tacky about it is wonderful, and the imagery is as well. The furst stanza of the first poem is beautiful. And the second peom impresses me as well..

That is so beautiful.

I have several questions to atheists that claim there is no proof that God exists.

With all of our knowledge why did we have to study what a supposedly blind force (random selection) did to create life? Is it possible that the data was misinterpreted? If God did indeed create everything, wouldn't creation itself be proof of God? Let me put it in a simpler fashion.

Lets assume that the mythology of evolution were true and humans died out without leaving a trace of their existance. Would it be reasonable for the next dominant species to conclude that computers evolved from calculators which evolved from the abacus? If the data is misinterpreted, who's fault is it? It can't be God's fault because history is full of tales of a higher power creating everything, so the fault would be on people.

Why exactly does evolution need a replacement theory? We have plenty of them. The point is, if evolution is wrong its wrong regardless of having a theory to replace it with. The theory doesn't make something true or false. The ultimate outcome decides if something is true or false. Even if there was no theory of relativity, relativity would still be true, we just wouldn't have a name for it.

Again, for those that want proof, what if you are misinterpreting the data (all of creation)?

Your unbelief nevertheless doesn't disprove God
