I know most politicians used "teleprompters" when giving speeches. But seeing as David Paterson is "legally blind", does he have his speeches in braille or does he just memorize? Thanks. Cheers.

Most people know that New York Governor David Paterson is legally blind. Since he became governor, I have always wondered how he was able to do his job with his impairment. This is not to be rude at all: it simply seems like it would be extremely difficult to perform a job with so much paperwork if you couldn't see well.
Does anyone know the extent to which Gov. Paterson is blind? Can he still read? Does he have bills translated into Braille? Or does he have someone read them to him? I'm curious, because it must be tough.
Though he is legally blind, he has some visual ability and is able to read things if he holds them very close. Beyond that, I would suspect he does have someone to read longer items to him.
I really want to learn braille, Can someone please tell the best place to learn in New York Queens.
