Is there any way I could write a note in braille? I'd like to send a thank you note to someone who's blind. Any help would be appreciated!
If you indent the paper from the back side it should be readable. Although there are braille print shops out there.

She could easily learn the alphabet and how to read basic things. Depending on how bright the person is and how sensitive her fingers are and how hard she worked, I don't see why not.

i've been trying to learn braille for the past 6 years, and i can read it pretty well now, my braille teacher is trying to get me to use some stuff in my classes now, like a braille note, but she's isn't the best teacher in the world, does anyone know any good ideas of some different things that are out there to help the visually empaired? technology wise? please and thankyou.
thanks, but the websites show older things, like the braille note, and the daisy player, the embosser, things that i was introduced to years ago, i was hoping for some newer technology, because i haven't heard about anything new in years. i've heard of the victor wave, which is supposed to be real great, but i have used other victor products, like the victor reader, and it worked terribly. please, if something else is avalible, i would love to hear of it.

BrailleNote Apex makes it easier to take notes with Braille QWERTY ...

This is the BrailleNote Apex . It’s a device that the blind/visually impaired (I’m not sure which term is the more acceptable one) can use to, as the name and photo implies, take notes. It runs Windows CE 6, which this type of device usually runs, and, is aimed at students and the like.
Like so many netbooks, it’s powered by an Intel Atom processor, and comes with a bit of flash storage—8GB, to be exact. Of course, you can add extra storage with a handy SDHC card.
An internal application suite, named Keysoft, can let users browse the Web, send and read e-mail, record audio notes, etc. There’s even an instant message client.
