Hi :)
for the past 2 days I have been so annoyed because there's a song that I can't stop thinking about...
All I know is that it is kind of hymn-ish.. and I think it was in a film about a Louis Braille... (might not be haha)
Oh, and it could be an old man singing!!!
Sorry, really nothing to go on, but I decided to ask or else I will drive myself crazy!! My friends are fed up of me asking about it!
Oh, and I think it's about a candle, it could be burning!! :P
Thanks in advance, I really wish I could have more certainty on the description but I don't..!
xx
maybe...
candle
candle song
candle in the wind
long as I can see the light
november rain
those are all the songs I no with a candle
Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?
Would you like Gin and Platonic, or Scotch and Sofa?
When God said, "Let there be woman," he created you.
Is your name Summer? 'Cause you are HOT!
I suffer from amnesia. Do I come here often?
Do you have a map? I just got lost in your eyes.
Are you from Tennessee? Because you're the only ten I see around here.
You sure have a great looking tooth.
Are you religious? You're the answer to my prayers.
Hershey factories make millions of kisses a day, but I’m asking for only one.
My friend wants to know if you were born in those jeans.
Your place or your place? Because my place is a dump!
You don’t need car keys to drive me crazy.
Falling for you would be a very short trip.
Don’t stop! I don’t usually get to see beauty in motion.
Do you know why the sky is so gray? All the blue is in your eyes.
You’re so fine, you make me want to go out and get a job.
Remember me? Oh, that’s right, I’ve met you only in my dreams.
Those must be space pants, 'cause your butt is out of this world!
I think I’ve just found the angel I’d like to be touched by.
Can I lick that film off your teeth?
Don't be so picky....I wasn't!
Let's go behind that rock, and get a little boulder.
You look a lot like my future wife.
I’d better get a library card, because I’m checking you out.
Did they just take you out of the oven? Because you’re hot!
Your body's name must be Visa, because it's everywhere I want to be.
Can I buy you a drink, or do you just want the money?
If you were a new hamburger at McDonald's, you would be McGorgeous.
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought that was a Braille nametag.
You might not be the best looking girl here, but beauty is only a light switch away.
Without my glasses, you couldn't pass for a female.
You be the tree, and I'll wrap you like a Koala.
I can't find my puppy, can you help me find him? I think he went into this cheap motel room.
Want to play conductor? You be the engineer and I'll go choo choo.
What do you like for breakfast?
Can I borrow a quarter? I want to call my mom and tell her I just met the girl of my dreams.
I want to call your mother and thank her.
Your daddy must be a thief, because he stole the sparkle of the stars and put it in your eyes.
That outfit would look great crumpled up on the floor at the foot of my bed.
Let's go to my place and do the things I'll tell everyone we did anyway.
Do your legs hurt from running through my dreams all night?
Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?
My name is [your name]. That's so you know what to scream.
Your daddy must have been a baker, 'cause you've got a nice set of buns.
(Look at his / her shirt label) When they say, "What are you doing?", you say, "Checking to see if you were made in heaven."
There must be something wrong with my eyes, because I can't take them off you.
All those curves, and me with no brakes.
If I told you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?
Is it hot in here or is it just you?
Do you know how to use a whip?
Can you give me directions...to your heart?
If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together.
I lost my phone number. Can I have yours?
I hope you know CPR, 'cause you take my breath away.
You look just like Joan Rivers.
Your name must be Daisy, because I have the incredible urge to plant you right here!
I'm no Fred Flintstone, but I'll still make your bed rock.
The question should have been- which is the lamest pick-up line?
I need to put these in proper sentencess!! :(

Im in high school, S4, Scotland. Next month we'll be choosing our higher subjects and I still don't have a career in mind. I was wondering, using the following points about me, someone could suggest ideas or even areas where I could get a job, or study to get that job.
The standard grades I chose were, maths, english, french, history, media studies, computing, biology and chemistry.
I definitely don't want to continue with history and chemistry.
I wanted to work with animals for a long time, something like guide dog training but I went off that. It was then I became interested in learning braille and sign language, and I would like to start self teaching myself that if I find a use for it eg. my career path
After I had chosen my standard grade subjects I became interested in interior design also- tv shows like '60 minute makeover' and room design. However I'm concerned I might not be able to get into that because I didn't take art or design technology. I'm also a little interested in photography.
I don't mind computing and Im quite good at it but I dont want to be sitting in front of a computer for half my life. Media studies is fun (analysis of film work), but I hate acting so I suppose if I went for this path I would work backstage.
So basically my problems are that I've become interested in subjects that I didn't take, I don't know what to continue with because I cant see a career- any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Dont worry too much about having to have a 'Career path' mapped out at your age.
Take subjects that really interest you. In doing so you will be motivated to work hard at those subjects because you enjoy them.
Getting the best grades you can is more important than having the career in mind at this stage. (If you know absolutely what you want to do at this age then
1. you are in the minority
2. You are lucky but will probably change your mind by the time you get to working in that field.
3.you would be tied into working in subjects you may not like and so may not succeed!
Enjoy study for it's own merits while you can and opportunities will arise as you progress.
Good luck and above all ENJOY the learning for itself!

Highly Conductive Film That Can Stretch : diginfo
Diginfo – www.diginfo.tv In a world-leading initiative, a research group led by Takao Someya at the University of Tokyo has developed a material that has high electrical conductivity, but can stretch and contract like rubber. The group has used this material to make integrated circuits containing organic transistors. Recently, carbon nanotubes dispersed in polymers have been used in efforts to create conductive materials that can stretch and contract. However, carbon nanotubes clump together, and this problem has prevented researchers from obtaining the desired characteristics. Someyas group solved the clumping problem by dispersing the nanotubes in an ionic liquid before mixing it with a polymer. The resulting material, with its uniformly dispersed nanotubes, shows hardly any change in electrical conductivity even when stretched by up to 70%. Someyas group has used this elastic material to make a large integrated circuit, and is studying how to incorporate sensors for temperature, pressure, ultrasound, and light. Such a large, flexible sensor could be attached to the surface of a robot, to give the robot a sense of touch similar to that of human skin. The group is also working to create a flexible Braille display, by building in actuators instead of sensors. Artificial Skin
