As well as the innovative work with the Digital Media Design team at LCC, I'm developing another collaborative book project entitled 'Essex-Dakar: and a little bit further ...'  with Australian writer Gregor Stronach and British illustrator Steven Appleby. Here's the working blurb (and shameless plug) to give you a little taster:  Tim Fransen is an ordinary, mild-mannered guy. One morning he woke up with a terrible hangover - and a ridiculous idea. That idea was to ride a motorcycle from England to The Gambia. Only a couple of things stood in his way - little things, like buying a motorcycle, passing a motorcycle test, and the severe misgivings of his partner, Faye.  This is the story of an odyssey across Europe and into North West Africa, where danger is ever-present - and where the good people shine through like the sun on a stormy day.  It's a tale of charity and mixed fortunes, set to the soundtrack of a motorcycle in severe distress.
