It IS illegal. The site you've listed is for a LIBRARY. Just like a regular book, eBooks and audio books are purchased by the library. Some eBooks are encoded so that the file cannot be accessed after a certain amount of time; same goes with audio books. You can move forward and make reservations at this library for the eBook/audio book; you just need a library card.
Distribution of copyrighted material--whether it's art, music, books--in whatever form it is is illegal. I know for a fact of several publishing houses who have sent cease and desist letters to websites who are proffering "free" downloads. If you really wanted to read the book that badly, just buy it. Or borrow it from the library if you don't want to pay for it.
What website is free to download audio book for my iPod touch. No credit card require or any type of billing. I really love book and if I went to iTunes to purchase a book it cost me like $20 and up. Such as Twighlight series. So please help me out. Thanks
I recently found out that you can download books for free from your local library's website. You have to have a current library card, and a pin number. With my library, you're only aloud to keep the download for 3 weeks and then you can't access the file anymore. I downloaded a book that I had to read for work and it was pretty easy. So go to your library and ask the librarian for help.
