The Subtle Knife Audio Book

I recently bought the "The Amber Spyglass" audio book dramatisation version (I thought it ment with a cast and voices. I just finished "The Subtle Knife" which I listened too on audio too. However, In "The Amber Spyglass" audio the voices were different, the narrator was the same but Will and the Angels voices were different. I thought a different company may have made it. Do they make "The Amber Spyglass" audio with the same voices or did they change them?

I am not familiar with the two audio books you mentioned, but I am a big fan of audio books. The most likely thing that happened is that the two books had different producers or directors. Although they had the same narrator(s), somebody missed that the voices changed. Another option is that for some reason, the narrator might not have been able to reproduce the same voice or didn't do his homework before recording the next title and came up with a different voice instead of reusing the same voice.

In my experience, however, books in a series read by the same narrator will have the same voices throughout the series. For example, in the Harry Potter books read by Jim Dale he used the same voices and accents consistently throughout the seven books, allowing for some aging/maturing of the voices of the main characters from age 11 at the start of the series through their 7th year, but the accents and essence of the voices remained the same.

I would guess that someone at the production company just didn't follow through on checking things like voice characterizations.
