Barack Obama's the Audacity of Hope Part 1

Barack Obama's Audio Book of the Audacity of Hope

have you heard the excerpt from obama's book the audacity of hope so named for a rev wright sermon click here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSSxrE4Dq JE obama is the person reading it for the audio book version.
obama quotes rev wright as saying that the white man is to blame for the worlds ills

Sorry. Not interested. I have seen all I need to see about Wright and Obama to have an informed opinion. No way should he get the nomination.

Would Your "HOPE" Book Win A Grammy Like Obama's "Hope" Book?

The presidential candidate beat both former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter to win best spoken word album for his audio version of his book "The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream." :Newsmax.com__Sunday, February 10, 2008 9:00 PM

Mines: All human wisdom is summed up in these two words,--'Wait and Hope'. The good news is winning out over the bad. It's simply a choice to take action.
jw: Thanks for video "YES WE CAN"

I know I couldn't write a book better than that...
I think Obama's video will win some awards too....

Am I weird for preferring audio books to "real" books?

I really don't like to read unless it's like a great book like "The Audacity of Hope" or "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" etc...as a matter of fact it's the only 2 books I've read to completion this year. I prefer audio books. Am I weird?

It's not weird in the least bit. I am that way as well -- well, not always. When I'm not in the mood to read (which is usually in the summer when things are all fun and games) I like listening to audio books instead of reading the actual book. And it's kind of more fun, because I love hearing the different voice of each character.

Audiobooks vs. Audio CD of a book?

I was on amazon, and they had the same book on audio, but one said Audiobook and the other said audio CD...what's the difference?

And also, where can I get the Audacity of Hope read by Barack Obama on tape?

I don't think there is a difference, it probably depends on the manufacturer as to whether they call them Audiobooks or Audio CDs. As to Obama's book, I seriously doubt that it is available on tape, there really aren't any companies that sell cassette tapes any longer.

Cheers.

Listening to "The Audacity of Hope", mother and I frequently fell asleep, so we repeated what we had missed. I suggest it to Matt W, in audio book format not sped up.

Essentially, I agree with lou, though I would say "easier to offer hope for change..." Isn't there something called the Law of Inertia and, as I recall, didn't I predict that here?

I still trust him, though mother would be disappointed, if she could still follow the news, especially this segment. As I say, though, you all speak too quickly for 93-year old comprehension, she complained.
