That Was Then This Is Now Audio Book

Ya I was just wondering, I found a site on it a while back and thinking I wouldn't need it I didn't write down information. I'm just re-reading the books right now because It's just something that I do before a new book comes out first i read it manually then I re-read it on an audio book. I already have books 1-3 done and just started on book 4 a little bit ago so i was just wondering if I'd even have time because I knew that the books 4 & 5 were extremely long. It only took me 2 days to finish reading them by myself though, but is it longer on the audio cds? Also I'm going to a waldenbook midnight party for the book and if anyone knows if this store will have the 7th audio book on a cd so I can purchase it the same night please leave a message saying so. I know it's coming out the 21st with the book also though.

I have been looking for a audio book club that I can either receive c.d.s through the mail, or download them. I am mostly interested in "self help", especially books on A.D.H.D. in adults. I ran a google search but most of the ones I tried didn't have many titles at all, if any. I can't pay a fortune, but since I am unable to sit and read, this would be perfect for me. There are tons with fiction, but I am not into that at all. I only like non-fiction. Most of them I have seen are around $15 a month, for 1 cd or download, which would be ok if they had what I am looking for. I tried Jiggerbug a long time ago, and they had all kinds of titles back then, but not too many now. I need info if you know of anything like this your info would be greately appreciated. I know this is a little complicated and more than one question but they all go together. My sisters husband is a truck driver and on the road for several weeks at a time. He has now got up to 400 pounds, doc told him to loose weight, or die. So I got a couple of those self hypnosis recordings to listen to and try them on my Nano iPod. He liked them but got lost on the iPod, it's too complicated for him to use. He also has several books on tape that he likes to listen to in the truck. So I've been looking for a simple MP3 player that uses SD cards for memory. Then I could put the hypnosis recordings on one chip or card and some audio books on other chips or cards. Then he could just change the memory card to listen to what he wants to. I need to find something as simple to use as possible.

Audiobooks on an sd card are the EASIEST way for the nontechnical user to change books! No files to transfer. Just swap cards to change books!

There are some very inexpensive mp3 players that accept memory cards. The problem with copying an audiobook to an sd card and playing it in most mp3 players is - book marking. If a track (usually a chapter) is say 45 minutes in length and the user shuts the player off at the 30 minute mark, when they turn the mp3 player back on they will have to relisten to the entire chapter.

In other words...i am editing an audio book and i chopped up practically every sentence so that is goes silent then clip,then silent etc...So now, i have a fade in and fade out but sentences that start with words that start with: M,B,G...stuff like that. Words with s,c,a,..soft constonants work well but how do i get rid of the stupid pop...i assume coming from the Noise floor at infinite to 0db instantly cause this, but i tried slow fades fast fades...what to do? HELP PLEASE ENGINEERS....

try reducing the sound levels, it sounds like it just loaded in too hot. I know in cool edit they have a pop/hiss silencer. . . dont remember in pro tools. Can you single out the pop and hard limit?
