Blue plastic book where you would make your own phrase?

I used to have this blue plastic book with a worm on it, and you could press buttons and it would talk aloud and you could make a strange phrase such as:
Mom danced with a frog in my spaghetti
My dog saw a clown on the moon.
Can somebody help me please!!!!!
I would like to know the name of the book. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm confused. first you start talking about this book you like, and then you're pleading for help. what the hell are you asking for help with?

There was a book by a magician about how to use a magician's social skills in work and everyday life?

I can't remember anything more about it than that. It was supposed to be a guide on how stage magicians lead their audience to believe what they (the magician) wants them to believe, and how to use that in sales, or just everyday interaction. Does anyone have any idea what book I'm talking about? Searching phrases that include "magician" in it usually turn up pretty far from what I'm looking for.

I did a little searching by putting the words "magician sales" in the seach. I found someone named Billy Harris & I found some books such as "The Power Of Persausion" Robert V. Levine & another book "Inner Magic" but I don't know if they are the ones. I'll let you know if I find anything else that might fit your description.

What is the Latin phrase used to describe the ending of a story?

It's a phrase that pretty much means the ending was "too clean cut", or something.

I was talking about a book today and the term totally slipped my mind! Does anyone know it?

Thank you bunches!!

I think you're looking for "Deus ex machina"

Hope I helped!

A confusing phrase from a book i'm reading...?

In the book Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry, Uncle Hammer talks about fighting the white people's "German war". the story is set in 1933, so it can't be WW2. What is it talking about????

On January 30, 1933 Adolf Hitler was sworn in as chancellor of Germany. At that time the beginnings of the war against the jews and other minorities started in earnest. Since the Nazi's were mostly white and started the trouble, I would speculate that you could call it a white peoples war.

Believe it or not, Hitler was actually elected in a fair democratic election. He did not seize power, he was elected to it. When he wanted more he just ask for it and it was granted to him by the democratically elected government. He got it by pretty much making the same kind of claims you are hearing coming out of Washington D.C. today. Everything was too urgent to wait for the normal process and he had to have the power to make it happen before it was too late. He made it happen alright.

Is it ok to take a little phrase book out with me to bars/clubs/restaurants in Japan?

If I pull out my book at a restaurant to order or try to talk to the chef, or at bar trying to talk to a young lady, how will that be viewed? Would it be innappropriate or appreciated since I'm making the effort to speak Japanese. I know a little bit, but there are many things I'm sure I'll want to say that I won't be able to remember. I want to be able to communicate with people as much as possible, so I thought this should help. However, I don't want to look stupid or be offensive in any way. It seems like a lot of younger people in my age range speak enough English to hopefully match my Japanese, but not sure.

Yeah you should definitely have one. I had one with me, some people found it funny but funny in a cute way. It's better to look dorky reading from a book than to look dorky staring into space not knowing how to say something.
