What's the best book about Hula Kahiko?

I love watching the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, but I often get confused when the hosts use Hawaiian words for things. Is there a book, dictionary or general educational, that talks about the different styles/implements/clothing you see during Merrie Monarch? I'd really like to educate myself on this dance, but it's hard. I'd like something with pictures, but I'll take something that is all text.

Does anyone know what book I am talking about?

I got it last week at the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York.
It was little and aqua. It wasn't really thick, either.
It was like a dictionary.. only with artistic words in it.
Like, one was "complacent."
and the front said something like "Words not easily defined" or something along those lines.

I lost the book shortly after purchasing it, and would really like to read it. I've searched on all kinds of book stores and the Met's online gift store. I just can't remember what the book is called, though.

If anyone has heard of the book and knows what I'm talking about, please tell me.

It sounds like a little boutique-style book, and will probably be difficult to track down. However, I would take a shot and call the gift shop directly. When I worked for Hallmark and Disney, we were usually more than happy to find items for people over the phone. Just make sure you call at a non-peak time.

Hello.Does anybody know how much words are contain in the book: The Newbury House Dictionary Of American Engli?

I know to look on the back of the book. It says 40,000 but above that it says"now bundle with a fully searchable CD-ROM" so i'm thinking that it is talking about the CD-ROM intead of the book. I made a estimate of about an adverage of 30 words in a page and the book contains about 1000 pages so it SHOULD be 30,000 so that is the reason i am asking if anyone know the correct number of words that contains in the book. thank you.
P.S the above says The Newbury House Dictionary Of American English

Do you know the name of the MISTRANSLATED ENGLISH DICTIONARY?

The book is a Portugese(?)-English dictionary compiled by a guy who didn't speak English, so all the translations are wrong. (Portugese might not be the correct language here. The one time I actually saw this book was about eight years ago, and my memory is a bit foggy.)

I think it was republished in the U.S. under the name "The More Than Complete English Language," but i can't for the life of me find a copy ANYWHERE!

Am I going crazy? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And where can I find one?

Are you sure it isn't just an urban myth that the book exists?
