i just purchased a sony reader, and ive noticed the headphone slots. can you put audio books onto it?

i hav a SE c510i. I cant use audiobooks in it. when i try to download, it shows 'Filetype not supported by phone. Download anyway?' What filetype does it support.? give me some website addresses to download audio books? pls.. thanks you geniuses..

I only see a very limited selection of classical music on SonicStage and no audio books at all. I have had a look at I Tunes and there is a far superior selection there. However I don't believe I can transfer this on to my Walkman. Is the only solution to buy an I-Pod???

Napster has loads of classical music. As for the audio books, when I purchased my mp3 from creative , I received the option to download 2 audio books, but at the time I wasn't interested. I cannot remember what the company was called but I'm sure if you do an internet search for them you will find something your looking for.

sadly am not up on Techno bump but as I would like to listen to audio books/language tapes via earphones and I notice my above phone has an MP3 function, albeit small 3G & expandable memory, was wondering if it possible for me to do this rather than buying another piece of equipment i.e. ipod/mp3 players to carry around. Does anyone know please.

Sony Ericssons will play pretty much any audio format (not just MP3).

PC audio books are probably already playable on the phone so just copy them across. I've not used either of the above, so can't tell you whether they are any good.

I'd like to download books that would be in a compatible format to play on my Sony MP3 player.
I've looked into audible.com, but I don't like the idea that I'd be paying 15 bucks a month for it, and I can only get one book a month.
I've also looked into itunes, but (as far as I can tell) files from itunes won't play on my Sony.
Does anybody else have any good ideas?

it's not a monthly fee, you add money to your account and buy the books using your balance. once it runs out, you can re-fill it if you want to.
