Robinson Crusoe Audio Book

Are there any books that are uncopyrighted? I would like to record some audio-books and sell them, but I know I could only do that with uncopyrighted ones. How can i find out wich are and arent? Are classics like Robinson Crusoe, Jane Eyre and Grimms Fairy Tales still under copyright? I would appreciate some info very much!!! thanks,

There is no such word as "uncopyrighted." As soon as a work written or recorded on some physical medium, its author is automatically entitled to all copyrights in the work, and to any derivative works unless and until the author explicitly disclaims them, or until the copyright expires. Project Gutenberg is an excellent place to find books where the copyright has expired.
