Introduction
The materials included in this reference circular are recommended as basic resources for providing current information on general aspects of blindness and physical handicaps. The selections are based on the holdings of the Reference Section, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), Library of Congress. With the exception of a few classics in the field, most titles are in print and were published after 2001.
Titles from the NLS collection available in braille and on audiocassette include the NLS book number with the citation. They may be borrowed by eligible readers through their cooperating network libraries. Full publisher addresses are provided when they are not readily available through a library or bookstore. Prices are subject to change.
