I have downloaded several free audio books from US sites, but they are all machine generated voices. Are there any real human voice free audio books on the internet ? If they exist in huge quantity, I think I am going to buy a MP3 player to listen to them. Should I buy one ? (I don't like music)

How do i put an audio book onto cd.?

Having just bought an audio book from itunes I now want to put in onto cd. Having real problems because the audio book comes in 3 big chunks of about 2-3 hours each. Probably need to break it down into smaller chunks but dont know how.

Am I weird for preferring audio books to "real" books?

I really don't like to read unless it's like a great book like "The Audacity of Hope" or "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" etc...as a matter of fact it's the only 2 books I've read to completion this year. I prefer audio books. Am I weird?


It's not weird in the least bit. I am that way as well -- well, not always. When I'm not in the mood to read (which is usually in the summer when things are all fun and games) I like listening to audio books instead of reading the actual book. And it's kind of more fun, because I love hearing the different voice of each character.
