I just got a PalmOne Zire 31 PDA. I want to be able to play the subscription .wma files (Audio books) I download from a library website. The PalmOne will not let me.
Is there any software I can use to let me play them? I don't want to have to still use my old MP3 now I have the PDA.

It probably doesn't have the necessary codec needed to play the file. If it's using WMA, then I'm assuming it is probably a protected DRM file. You'll need to find software (eg. Pocket Tunes) that supports the file you want to play.
Playing an Audible audio book with my Palm Pre using the classic application.
i've used rio 500 but it is no longer really supported, i've used palm 71 and palm 31 and it's is a monthly horror each time i try to download new books. I've put more time in with tech for help. Is there a reasonably priced item, that requires no tech assistance just to download an audio file!!
hmz weird, most mp3 player just need to be connected via usb and u can just copy the stuff over there, just look for a player with usb2 support and that's it
A lot of people I know are using the either the Treo 650, the Blackberry, or the Sidekick, or some other device. There are so many it is making my head spin.
Right now, I am non-web with my Palm Zire 71. I love the ability to synch with my yahoo calendar and address book, but I want to evolve into going on the web with my PAD, especiall using GPS navigation software.
S, I need/want something that will be basically a miniture version of a laptop with cell phone capabilities.
I would like to be able to stream video and audio, take decent pictures with a zoom and flash capability, balance my bank account, check and save my emails as text files, and be able to navigate to the web from any Microsoft document, etc.
You need a true PDA...which is a Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 2003 or 5.0. It must have a SD expansion slot(s), Bluetooth, and embedded GPS. The problem is that the only phones which have this are HW6515 (tmobile and cingular), ppc6700 (sprint), and xv6700 (verizon). Do not be fooled by the hype of smart phones (i.e. the Motorola Q)...There is no stylus to write notes on the screen, no pocket word or excel, and you can not use the thousands of applications a true pocket pc has.
