i have many books,i thought about making other person's book ,audio file and sell it in internet?
is it ok from copy right law?

It's illegal.
The authors in question aren't receiving funds from your profit.
If you've looked through your books usually you can find a message similar to this one, "This material is copyrighted by Stephenie Meyer. Any retranscription or reproduction is illegal."

Find some other way to make money- it's not that hard.

the only way i can think of is by making a playlist under the title of audiobook, but thats not what i want. i dont want the audiobook to go straight to my music libary when i copy it because if i do that it'll do the same on my ipod when i sync it....wont it?

im not very good with gadgets, please can someone help?

I think you've found the best solution. Make a playlist called audio book. either that or have it under the author's name under artists. And different books are diff albums

Does anyone know how much actors who read audio books--like Stephen King's or Anne Rice's--get paid? There seem to be some big-name actors doing this kind of thing, and I'm wondering if it's a good paycheck for them. Thanks!

As far as voiceacting goes, audio books pay way less than commercials, promos, narratives, and animation. It's still good pay. n average $400-500 for a little less than a days work. The disadvantage of doing audio books is that they don't pay residuals like commercials, animation, and a lot of the other voiceover stuff does.

it's for a community service project.
I wanted to originally do it on cassette but I wasn't sure where to find a recorder. Now I'm doing it on the computer but I have no idea where to start.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

You want to get audio recorder for the PC. One that will record WAV files at 16 bit 44.1 khz.
For audiobooks the files should be about six miutes long. Use a CD-ROM burner to complete the disc.

I don't have much time to read, but commute via driving to work and need to read this for a class in College. Does anyone know if they even make an audio book of Effi Briest in English, and if so, where can I find it?

Not having any luck locating the book in an audio format (English). The link below is to the DVD on sale at Amazon - it's in German and has subtitles. I tried a couple of audiobook sites - nothing even came up for Fontane either.
