MPEG4 Audio or m4a or m4p (if protected) or aac format (basically the same format with minor differences) they are all still audio files though not text files often with low 80kbps bitrates as dont need high quality audio for a book!

i have lots of books in mp3 format! and i have stoped trying to convert them to audiable format ! doesn"t matter if i cant book mark them or start from i left !
but now all i ask for is that my ipod diffrinciates between my mp3 books and mp3 songs,
i just dont want to start listening to Harry Potter exactly after the song "Primiscious Girl"
is it too much to ask for!??

No idea if it's any good, but you can transfer it to you iPod just like an any other audio CD. Half my pod is full of spoken word tracks. The information about the narrator and abridgement should be on the CD cover
