Ipod Audio Book Converter

i downloaded some audio books from my librery and i wanna lisen to then on my ipod ... how can i do that with out having to buy a converter?

i know there is a ton of comverter to rip music but i dont wanna brake any law or pay money to comvert the file

I got two T.V. series (avi) both around 25 episodes onto my net book. And I also got about 3 other T.V. series (mp4). And what I already knew was that .avi is a much bigger file compared to .mp4 (.avi was about 170mb and .mp4 was 50mb) and mp4 is iPod compatible, which is good for my iPod touch. So that's two good things about mp4. So I was thinking of converting all of those episodes, and I know it's a hassle to convert all those videos =.=

Now here's my question: What's is the differences between the two? for example is mp4 worst audio or visual quality? Would it be a good idea to convert every single episodes?

PS: can anyone suggest any good avi to mp4 video converters (fast is preferred)?

Mp4 and AVI are just different video formats. And we cant say which format is in higher quality, because the quality depends on a lot of other aspects, such as video codec, audio codec, bitrate, resolution, etc. If they are with the same parameters, i think avi is better.
And as for video converter, i recommend u pavtube video converter which can convert between any video files. the conversion speed is incredible.
