Christmas Audio Book

I have the book it was written by Rosina Diva in 1986, the orignal I believe was written in the 1950s. This was my book when I was a kid and I would like to find the tape that goes to it so I can pass it down to my kids. Any help on where to look would be great.

I am looking to purchase an iPod for my Mom for Christmas. She wants it primarily to download audio books. Is a 8GB Nano sufficient? What is the typical size of audio book files?

That depends on the kind of eBook that your mom listens to. Looking at my own playlist, I have lengthy ones like The Wheel of Time book 1 at 660 MB, while short magazine-type ones like an issue of The Economist at 180 MB.

The thing with eBooks as well is that once you finish a book, you normally don't listen to it again anytime soon (or ever) unlike songs that you can keep in your iPod and listen to repeatedly. Most likely she'll remove the older eBooks that she finished already, and thus will not need to keep them sitting around in her iPod taking up space.

If your mom doesn't plan on stuffing it with thousands of songs, I'd say 8 GB is more than enough.

My dad has poor eyesight and can no longer read. He has expressed an interest in listening to audio books, and I would like to purchase a cd player and some audio books for him for Christmas. However, I want to be sure I am getting a cd player that will hold its place on the cd when he cuts it off, and also one with fairly easy to use features. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If your dad is legally blind, he is eligible for state services for the visually impaired. Most states have a free library of books on tape or on CD and they provide a simple player as part of this service. Just go to the phone book to the section with your state's services. There should be an agency for the visually impaired. Call them and see if he qualifies.

i would like to know because i'm giving my sister an ipod for christmas and she has audio books that she would like to put in as well as music. She's not going to use it for pictures, podcast or anything like that so if anyone knows can you please help me thanks

1 hour audiobook is about 14mb, so about 14000 hours, depending on how long the book is. This wont be exact but that should be close enough.

My brother doesn't like to read (unlike me), but doesn't mind listening to audio CDs. He loved listening to Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King. Does anyone have any recomendations as to novels that could be found on audio CD that are similar to Hearts?
My brother is 24 years old. Doesn't like reading, but LOVED Hearts in Atlantis on Audio CD, so I am sure he would love others. He works at a desk, so he has plenty of time to listen.

He may like Dean Koontz. My whole family loves him. The whole Odd Thomas series is great and I really liked From the Corner of His Eye.

Stephen Kings "Bag of Bones" was an excellent audio book also. He actually did the recording of it himself so he portrayed the characters exactly as they should be. Oh, and the Green Mile was a good audio book also. It wasn't read by Stephen King but whoever did read it did an excellent job. :)
