I want to start an audio book business in my country. I want to publish world-wide known books not those in my language. Do I have to and how can I track down the authors of the books I want to publish so that I can pay them author's fees?
you would have to start with the publishing company of each book. - that is going to be expensive if you have to translate the books, then record them in your language. I don;t think even the bestsellers sell enough copies to make much money and your costs will be a lot higher unless you can guarantee you can sell probably 5000 copies of each audiobook -you have to pay to get each book translated, then recorded by someone with a really good speaking voice, them do artwork and packaging and cdrom production, then you have to find places to sell them either wholesale or retail - then you have to pay royalties ofr each sale and maybe some money in advance just to get the right to do an audiobook version
what if you spend all that money on a book that no one cares about and you sell zero copies?
you better do a lot of research to see if there is even any market for such stuff

While I'm running in the morning hearing with my iPod music I rather change to business audio books and be more focused on the daily events @ work.
With that I could innovate better and more often.
Which ones do you suggest me to acquire?
What kind if business are you in. There are audio books in a wide variety of business fields such as real Estate , Finance etc. Even motivational titles to help management etc. I happen to love Zig Ziglar, he is very motivational in a general sense. You can be more specific. Have Fun!

I like to use a free website called YAKiToMe! http://www.yakitome.com that turns any electronic text into an audio book.
They have pre-converted books in their public library. You can search the Business and Startups topic to see what's available.
YAKiToMe! reads aloud PDF, txt, MS Word documents, html webpages, Powerpoint, RSS feeds, email, ... you name it. Turns the text into an audio mp3 that you can podcast to your iPod, listen on your computer while you read along, or share with others. It has many high-quality reading voices in different languages, too. I use it to listen to work and free classic books from Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org.
Depends on how you learn-after the all the point of getting the information from the book is to actually learn it, right? Personally I am not an audial learner, so listening to the book on tape or cd would do nothing for me. I am very much a visual learner, I have to see something to actually understand it.
Do you learn things right away if you hear them, or do you have to see something written down or write something down yourself to learn it? Evaluate the ways that you learn the best and then decide whether it is best for your to listen to or read the book.

» Business Audio Book: Differentiate or Die
In today’s ultra-competitive world, the average supermarket has 40,000 brand items on its shelves. Car shoppers can visit the showrooms of over twenty auto makers. Differentiating products today is more challenging than at any time in history, yet it remains a key to a company’s survival.
In Differentiate or Die , best-selling author Jack Trout takes marketers to task for taking the easy route of high-tech razzle-dazzle and sleight of hand instead of marketing their product’s uniquely valuable qualities. He examines successful differentiation initiatives—from giants like Wal-Mart to tiny Trinity College—to determine why some succeed and some fail. The author outlines the many ways to achieve differentiation, while also warning of how difficult it is to achieve differentiation by being creative, cheap, customer oriented, or quality driven, things that your competitor can do as well.
