Brave New World audio book?

Where can I find a free audio book for a Brave New World that I don't have to enter my credit card number?

According to this website: http://www.wmich.edu/teachenglish/subpag es/literature/archives.htm, Brave New World can be gotten in electronic text format. Therefore, if you can download the electronic text to your computer, then you can upload it to YAKiToMe! http://www.yakitome.com and turn it into an audio book for free. You can then download the mp3 and put it on your iPod, or just listen to it on your computer using the YAKiToMe! website.

Where can I download the "Brave New World" audio book FOR FREE?

I am searching for an audio book of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World". Should be the english version fitting for my Vintage 2004 version.

Several web sites offer online full-texts of books that are out of copyright, e.g. www.gutenberg.org. This work is still under copyright, in both the print and audiobook format.
However, aside from the copyright owner, which is almost always the author or their publisher, ANYONE who posts the text of these books online is violating both the U.S. and the International Copyright laws, infringing on Intellectual Property, and can be fined and jailed for it. (In general, anything first published within the last 52 years in the U.S. will still be in copyright. When the law was changed, it became copyright duration matched the rest of the work, i.e. the author’s/copyright owner’s lifetime plus 50 years.)
Writers make a living by creating their work. To read or use it without paying for it, is STEALING, pure and simple.
If the work is valuable enough to read, it should be paid for.

"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley?

first off dose anyone know where i can find it on audio? for cheap or free. and second. i would like to know your thoughts on it. what you thought the theme was, what you thought of the characters and such..... please and thank you.

btw, is the book worth reading?

First, YES the book is worth reading!!

I'm doing my senior thesis on "Brave New World," and I haven't been able to find it on audio (haven't been looking that hard for it, unfortunately).

The book is one of the the best dystopian novels written. In my opinion, it is the best example of dystopian literature and our desire to control life, to play God.

By all means, read it. The language is accessible and the story is an excellent example of humanity at its worst while masquerading as being noble.

  • This NOT Just In: Seattle Pilots

    04/12/2010

The Seattle Mariners face off against the Oakland A's today in their home opener for the 2010 season. Over the last three–plus decades in Seattle the Mariners have provided enough thrills to keep even the most cynical fan coming back for more. But the Mariners aren't Seattle's first Major League Baseball team. That honor goes to the Seattle Pilots. As part of the occasional history series "This NOT Just In," Feliks Banel takes a listen back to this nearly forgotten team.

Song: "Go, Go you Pilots, you proud Seattle team."

Archive Audio: Friday afternoon, April 11, 1969, Major League Baseball comes to the Pacific Northwest and the Great American Game becomes, in fact, a truly national sport.
