recomend a good audio book? no harry potter or twilight?
Samuel Pepys The Unequalled Self by Claire Tomalin

i love to read, but since i have had a baby, i can not find time to at all. i was thinking about trying to listen to a book while doing my housework. i really like a wide variety of books, but i am not interested in harry potter or twilight or things similar to those. really would love an interesting biography, but will take all suggestions -thanks

Me too I have 2 little kids whirling around all day and the audiobook version of the novels is such a good solution! Only that listening while doing housework seems to take away my attention from the housework :) Some of the books are gripping. I listen while going to sleep.
I've "read" lots of genres and you just have to browse around amazon to find something made for you :)
lately I'm into romance and I absolutely loved:
--- Karen Marie Moning - The Higlander Series: the reader has such a powerful and persuasive voice that I would have listened to anything read by him
--- Megan Hart - Broken - it's, theoretically, an erotic novel, but practically is so much more

But for you I am sure to recommend Isabel Allende with Zorro or her autobiography, soo sooo funny, touching, wonderful and original. You must check it!

What is a good book to read?

I like true stories and something that keeps me interested.

I like memoirs and audio biographies the most but I'm looking for a good book just to read and learn something new or just to read to make me fall asleep? Thanks.

Age range would be very helpful, although spelling gives some clue (I believe you meant to say "autobiographies", not "audio biographies").

In any case, I don't know that many biographies or memoirs, and the ones that I do know are rather dense. However, you might like some of the following:

The Little Prince (I'm not trying to belittle you by offering a children's book; it's literally one of the best-selling and most selling books of all time, 80 million copies sold and 180 translations)
Tuesdays with Morrie (That should fit the biography/memoir theme pretty well)
Things Fall Apart (historical fictionish, sort of written in the style of a memoir)
The Kite Runner (it's just a good book)

Sorry I can't come up with any more.

Where can I find free biographies online...?

I need a biography or nonfiction book (preferably a biography of a band or something like that). It has to be an actual book because it's for school and I have to give the # of pages and the author, but I want to find it online and free. As long as it gives the # of pages and the author, I don't care if it is an audio book or the actual book.
