Lately, I have been to busy to read and have been listening to audio books instead, however the books I would like to listen to are not in that format. I like Terry Pratchett based things and have been sticking to him, Bill Bryson and Douglas Adams for audio books.
Any suggestions? ^^;
Thanks for reading ♥
I like to use a free website called YAKiToMe! http://www.yakitome.com that turns any electronic text into an audio book. It reads aloud PDF, txt, MS Word documents, html webpages, Powerpoint, RSS feeds, email, ... you name it. Turns the text into an audio mp3 that you can podcast to your iPod, listen on your computer while you read along, or share with others. It has many high-quality reading voices in different languages, too. I use it to listen to work and free classic books from Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org.
A small clip from Bill Bryson's fantastic book 'Down Under', in my opinion his funniest book. Audiobook available on iTunes, Amazon ...
The thing is I work on a Library and I received a donation of English Books and tapes. Among the tapes I found the audio of notes from a small island by bill bryson. Well, it is a copy. The thing is I'm trying to do the transcript myself but it's quite hard and long. And of course I already looked for it on the net! but I can't find it! Please help me and I will really appreciate it! It is for educational purposes only!!
Why not just check out the book? The audio is just him reading his book,

After tales from the USA and Britain, Bill Bryson turns his roving eye to Australia, the only island that is also a continent and the only continent that is also a country. It is the driest, flattest, most desiccated, infertile and climatically aggressive of all the inhabited continents. It has more things that can kill you in a very nasty way that anywhere else. Yet when Bill Bryson travelled to Australia he promptly fell in love with the country. And who can blame him? The people are cheerful, the cities safe and clean, the food is excellent, the beer is cold and the sun nearly always shines. He tries to find out why Aussies are so excited, digging up a past that reveals...
