i have a text book and the audio of the text also. i want a program so i can join both text with the sound, like as long as a page is displaying, the sound will play also.i mean that it should display the text with playing sound at the same time. plz answer if yo know

No, I am not blind or hadicapped. I am an auditory learner and want the audio to go with my actual textbooks.

the National Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is the national organization (under the Library of Congress). I don't know if you'd be able to borrow texts from them, however. You could check and see if they have a non-disabled borrowing or purchase program.

However, many colleges and universities do agood bit of taping of texts--usually through their Office of Disability Services. You might be able to come to some arrange ment with them.

I don't think there are any other sources; unlike popular literature, textbooks aren't generally put out in audio format by publishers.

Is understanding really just repetition and additional information source (television, audio books, text book problems) or is there an actual way to read efficiently

To understand you must keep an open mind. The first step is wanting to understand. Understanding does involve memorization, but it is not merely memorization. To truly understand, you must be in the frame of mind that nothing is ever set in stone. This means when new information is introduced to you, you must be able to fit it accordingly with past information. This will eventually allow you to create the entire picture and achieve a thorough understanding of the material. This is why reading and understanding is associated with critical thinking. If you improve your critical thinking skills you will increase your understanding.
