I want to buy the Audio books for the Lord of the Rings but first I'd like to listen to a sample to see if I like the narrator's voice. If the sample is free, so much the better!

You can go to your public library. Authors can't afford to put the audio books online. Authors want to be paid. So do the sound engineers, and actors hired to read the books.
If you want classic books out of copyright protection read by volunteers that have agreed not to be paid, then go to Librivox.
Well I'm trying to learn Japanese, I recognize its a little cliché and I don't expect to be positively fluent or whatever just know enough to build on.

The only things I have saw cost money or are just samples. I would like the entire book, read by someone on audio for a summer project. Just a download of the entire book on audio for free. If not, could you possibly find the audio streaming for free? Thanks for your help that book again is The Sea Wolf by Jack London.
